Rangers look slow with a couple of exceptions.

Quinn has proven he doesn’t get his team prepared several times now. Start every season slow. Start slow in the bubble. Too many men penalties are inexcusable.

Shesty looks shaky.

Miller looks timid but settled a bit as it went on.

Gauthier looks slow and tentative and has been shifted down.

JMFJ looks MFing awful.

Laf looks great. Confident. Fast. Ready. Exciting.

Zib looks good. And ready to keep scoring.

Fox looks great.

Panarin looks like Panarin.

Kakko looks more comfortable, still not fast.

Trouba looks slow.

DeAngelo looks rusty.

I think this board is overrating Gauthier, but yea Quinn’s treatment of him isn’t exactly helping.

Mika with 2 days of camp is sharper than the rest of the team. What were they doing for two weeks?

You can only do so much with no real competition even if its pre-season, especially with a young team. I expect them to look disjointed for at least 5 games. I guarantee they will look far better as the season progresses.

It's clear between the personnel decision and the debacle against the Canes and now to start the game that Quinn doesn't have what it takes to prepare a team. Even the Hawks had a better period against Tampa.

Hard to get into a rhythm when you're playing almost half the period short handed. I thought they started skating better the last few minutes. Hopefully it carries over to the 2nd.

Man im reallllyyyy trying to get back into hockey. I was a hardcore NHL fan until about 2014, the league is such a shell of itself its hard to recognize. How are you down 3-0 vs the isles in the 1st period and no one even tries to mix it up? No bone crushing hits on the forecheck, no face washes around the net after the play, no pushing, no shoving, never mind dropping the gloves. Tough sport man, headed in the wrong direction

Johnson replaced Staal looked worst then a traffic cone.

Shesterkin looked rusty

Miller well looked like a nervous rookie.

No sign of the third and fourth lines cuz of penalties.

Quinn can’t seem to get this team to come out strong.

So far I have the right choice in Nelson in the fantasy pool.

Only good news Laf played well when out there.

Only one way to go is up from here.

ALOT of nerves shocked at shesterkin looking the most nervous though. That’s a bad bad period from him. Actually surprised he didn’t go to Georgie after that last goal.

The last two goals on Igor were awful

Miller looked absolutely lost out there. Love him to death but that’s as bad a start as you can have. Looked like he calmed a bit towards the end. But he’s running around.

Johnson is as bad as expected. He set us back right away. Zero reason for him to be starting over Smith.

Lafreniere also with the rookie mistake on the penalty but he looked dangerous the whole time.

Wouldn’t worry about anything other than getting better here. But we looked completely lost out there not a great start for our coaching staff

I'm ready to fire Quinn after that first. I've never seen a team look worse in a period. They looked like they were not ready at all and never played hockey before.

Been beating that drum for awhile. I'm glad to see more people are jumping on board.
