Miller looked less nervous by the end of the period

Everything possible went wrong thus far but I'm not mad. Let's clean it up.

Gotta get those jitters out.

How are you down 3-0 vs the isles in the 1st period and no even tries to mix it up? No bone crushing hits on the forecheck, no face washes around the net after the play, no pushing, no shoving, never mind dropping the gloves. Tough sport man, headed in the wrong direction

Way too risky coaching by DQ behind this. Incredibly hard situation, no PS games. Many kids with jitters. Facing a good well oiled teams. Inexperienced goalie playing the first game of the year.

But we made zero adjustments. Didn’t play a little more conservative. Didn’t rely a little more on the vets even for the first minutes to get the jitters to settle down. Etc etc etc.

Annoying and very unnecessary.

1st line is good, they forechecked effectively and generated chances
2nd line is MIA, Strome isn't doing jack and Panarin isn't generating a whole lot yet. Kakko has had a few flubs but has also been getting into position. Not standing out but he's not hte problem with that line at the moment
3rd line looks pretty good but not a lot of icetime. Laf looks comfortable
4th line seems OK

Miller ups and down, some bad mistakes, some good plays, they shoudl still stick with him I think
Fox is awesome, Lindgren solid, everyone else eh

The league is soft now. This schedule might add intensity tho.

He forced at least 3 turnovers from Pelech which led to sustained offensive zone time.

Maybe he did and I just didn’t notice.
