That's Eric's 7th tripping penalty of the year.

That's 4 more than both the next most trippy player (M. Koivu, R. Bourque, Vermette), AND the amount of goals he has this year.

What's so funny?

Sure the scoreboard looks nice but we're playing like ****. Again.

the boys are playing fine. Stop spazzing. Just look at the numbers- shots, faceoffs, scoring chances. They'll get it done, so long as Peters doesn't implode. Nobody is doing anything wrong. I mean ****, what are you expecting- this ain't the penguins.

The Isles are crazy sloppy with the puck. We're picking up all kinds of unforced turnovers out there. That's really not the way to play against a team like the Canes, who don't do much to generate offense on their own.

Damn, that was an exciting first half of the period. End to end hockey, I wish all our games were like that, but I'd settle for never having to watch anything close to the Philly game again.

Stats don't tell the whole picture. And it's not like we're winning by a lot in any of those categories either. I could point to hits, blocked shots, and giveaways and give that as evidence of us sucking.

And I'm not expecting us to look like the Penguins. I'm expecting us to show improvement. And it wasn't shown in the first period, when I made the comment.
