After watching Panarin dive like a ***** all year my sympathy level for someone sticking him is unsurprisingly low.

Kids are actually motivated, because the new coach promised more ice time to those who work hard. He wants the kids more involved. Prior to that, most of the kids were at a dead end, because Yeo favored the vets. It divided the room. Even when the highly paid players played like crap, the kids would get punished. Now, they have a reason to show up every night. Work hard, you can get promoted. It's only been two games, but guys like Haula look completely rejuvenated.

That was one of the weirdest goals ive ever seen. Wrist shot, defects off one defenders stick, over to his d partners face, then into the net.

Wait until tomorrow night.

True, but this will be hard to beat. Calgary gave up another. Had an easy clear and didn't do it. Leads to a goal. The Wild aren't even playing well, but their opponents are just that much worse.

Crazy. Even crazier than Pouliot's goal last night.

what's all this divided the room ****. Everyone was playing like crap. Coyle worked his way up to more minutes because he was playing well just like Zucker did last year. The Vets who were getting the minutes had more problems with Yeo than the kids--or at least that's the way it sounded from the media blurbs.

Coach firing was a wake up call. machine was broke, cheapest part to replace was the coach. players often play with more effort when the starting goalie is pulled, too. because they know they've been playing like ****ups.

jesus, Wild. one of the only criticisms Torchy had of the Wild he stated before his first game was that we took too many penalties. Here we are again.

I still can't believe we made Engelland look like a decent hockey player tonight.

Not much has changed with the Wild except they're playing poor teams and getting puck luck. I think the Torchetti effect lasted about 25 minutes. Since then it's been the same-old.

That last one was a total dive.

You'd go down too if you were hooked in that region*.

*assuming you're male.

Yes, the vets had issues with Yeo, but some of the kids had problems too. Walz brought up a rift between Haula and Yeo just the other day. Being scratched and the very lopsided minutes probably played a role in that.

Again, the players weren't all innocent in this. But enough was enough. They've been given a little more freedom. Even Poms said it's nice to go back to the basics....not always worrying about where they had to be at all times. It was too damn tight.

I'm fully aware that a new coach usually lights a spark, and there is a honeymoon period. But I'll gladly take the guys loosening up a bit as opposed to what would have been the same damn failing lines with Yeo who would refuse to be fair with the players' TOI.
