Kings forgot to flush when they left the ice last night...I can still smell it from Ventura County. :amazed:

Main board meltdown over Brown's hit and no call from NHL is kinda fun.

The contact to the face was made with such little force that I didn't expect anything.

Yeah, I don't even ****ing care anymore. Easier to watch with no expectations except that we'll continue to be the most hated team in the league.

How many years of suckage would it take for the Kings to return to the sentimentally considered losers they were looked at as this time in 2011, do you think?

Hans,

How many points do we need? :)

On a positive note, DD played only 27:23. Must be resting him for Friday .....

Long season ahead, but that's a pretty crappy way to start. They looked as bad as last season, except even slower and less net presence. Don't understand the reasoning behind starting Muzz and Greene, unless DL wants Greene to just fall apart. His arms and legs actually falling off

He even *****ed about having to stand up and clap a second time for the hero of the game. A total piece of ****. It took a lot for me to keep my cool, but I just knew that starting something with a fat troglodyte like that wasn't going to make things better. Maddest I've ever been watching a blowout, lol.

I would have lost it, turned around and probably lost the fight. Better just to call security via text. That **** is bull ****. Pretty sure Staples management doesn't want some idiot in the stands trying to stir the pot by dissing the fanbase in general. That's enough to get someone kicked out, believe me. They will want to put out fires early.

It was bad enough I had a dumb ***** Kings fan behind me screaming the F word every other sentence and then another a-hole *****ing about the Kings yelling idiotic notions; thankfully they were gone by the third because I didn't hear their inanity anymore.

All of them ;)

We're packing the house today and moving tomorrow, so it may be a few days until that thread makes an appearance... thanks for the reminder though!

We all enjoy it every season!!!

Oh jesus, if we started now...maybe 2020? Would have to have Lucic and Brown long gone, and there would still be Doughty and Quickhaters....more like a decade from now. We're going to be every Blues, Sharks, Coyotes fans most hated team like, forever with no reprieve though

You should see all the comments about Brown in reply to this tweet.

Or perhaps it's better not to. Twitter's version of the main board.

Main board here is an absolute joke. Those two threads should be closed, no more to see here, old news should be closed.

As in, you know: the "Kane Thread Policy."

Still waiting for brad to do his job!!

Yes, every thread I don't like, I am gonna ride brad's ass like f'ing Zorro this season.

He is going to know what it feels like to be Anze Kopitar.

2 main threads after one game. Pace yourself boys......nah **** it, keep it up!

The Sutter line blender was turbo charged last night. Lewis with 7 seconds less ice time than Carter (15:07, not enough ice time for him), Lucic with the same amount of PP time as Brown, Schultz played 18:15, the slowest guy on the ice and maybe the NHL, 15 seconds more than AMart, Lucic with 26 seconds less ice time than Brown at even strength, Muzzin with 4:46 of SHT ice time-is Muzzin that good defensively he's always out there on the PK?, Tanner Pearson with no PP time yet 4:12 of SHT time-again, is Pearson known as being a shut down winger?, Toffoli with less than 9 minutes of ES ice time, Ehrhoff with more PP time than Doughty. I know some of these guys weren't playing well, Brown played well and was effective but if you knew nothing of the Kings you would have a hard time looking at ice time and figuring out who is who on the Kings. The ice time makes no sense and the results last night show that. The skilled players are being held back by limited ice time and the grinders with no offensive capabilities are being rewarded for working hard and nothing more.

I wouldn't be surprised if that fat **** posts on the main board, he sounded like one of them. Contradicting himself the entire night with his "superior hockey knowledge", complaining about everything at Staples and how it's so much better at Honda, and then ******** on our fans. Typical bandwagon comments and how we don't even know the game. The dude even made fun of our organist and how the Honda one is so much better. I also loved when he made fun of a little boy wearing soundproof earmuffs on the jumbotron. He was like, "It's not even that cold in here." Then some dude next to him explained it was for the noise, to which he replied, "It's not even that loud though, lol". Then no more than five minutes later he says, "Why does your announcer have to repeat everything twice? I'm going to go deaf." I wanted to punch him in his fat throat. I've been to a ton of games and last night was the first time I really had to use self control. I was ready to explode.

Wound security really take someone out just ripping on our fans verbally? I thought it was only for physical stuff and verbal threats. He didn't do that, so I didn't see an opportunity to get him out.

If any of the big guns were making anything happen with their limited ice time, that's one thing. Most of them didn't seem to want to be on the ice last night, and did anyone really want to see them gliding around like it was an all-star game? Gaborik, Carter, and Toffoli didn't dress. Kopitar maybe did a little more than nothing. Lucic only did something at the end. The bottom 6 should've been out there more. Not sure why the 4th line only got about as much ES time as Carter.

Last night was a game that you should reward guys that were working hard and nothing more.

Not gonna overreact to one game.

Will say that they should just roll the top two lines on the PP. Brown doesn't need PP time.

Is that what that is? I thought it was just Oxnard...

hey, watch it!

I swear to god Im a bad luck charm for home openers. I want to say the Kings have lost pretty much EVERY opener game Ive been to. the last one I remember was when Quick scored on himself :shakehead
I gotta say the Sharks looked like an entirely different team last night. DeBoer is a great coach and all but I didnt expect him to have a big impact this early on. not to give the Sharks all the credit because the Kings were absolutely abysmal, but still. quite an eye opener

Muzzin had the most SHT out of any King player! Does anybody here look at Muzzin and think "man that guy is a shut down dman"? According to Sutter he's the best defensive player on the Kings.
