I bet if you actually got off the couch and put on skates, you would realize that the areas players see on the ice are markedly different than what a fan would see in the stands or on TV.

For a playmaking center, he has a lot of passes intercepted or are off the mark. Hasn't justified his cap hit at all.

Brouwer sucks. When bad things happends looks like its always Brouwer who does those things.

I don't understand Brouwer defenders at all, maybe people are too blindfolded to see clearly what happends on ice.

I don't what Brouwer's done other then an ill advised clearing, that did clear. He went off sides only because Pietrangelo decided to do the hokey pokey at the line, then he missed his step up on Benn (you know...what everyone cries for). He did set up the only good scoring chance that Backes sent wide.


It's just another case of "i already hate Brouwer so I'll pick every little thing he does apart"

Agreed, but i do enjoy Bort's nastiness. It's something that the regulars lack.

Stastny is an excellent passer. It's interesting how no one criticizes Backes' lack of ability to pass as a center. I guess that's because he's too busy "shutting down the other team's top line," or some other reason.

The Blues need a lot more out of both Brouwer and Stastny, how's that? But there's only one of them where that has a chance of happening... (still unlikely)

At least the extracurricular stuff between these two teams is fun. Reaves is doing whatever he wants.

Excellent passer. Good one.

Backes isn't primarily a playmaking center, if you look at his statistics you'll notice that his goals and assists are somewhat close every season.
