No hockey ninja yet? I'll put a place holder for him.

So far through 3 starts each, Wolf and Vladar have allowed 7 and 8 goals respectively... however Wolf has faced 37 more shots.

I am deeply curious why the Penguins discovered that shooting on Wolf's glove side worked flawlessly and then immediately stopped trying it.

Like "okay, now we know he can't save that, let's move on and investigate these other moves."

Wolf said his penguins intel was wrong... so maybe somehow they freaked out and played themselves?

Maybe they noticed an adjustment? Or the fact that lefties started shooting? Letang was the only RH shot after Rust and I was surprised he went for the deke rather than a shot with him being a defenseman.

Scoring has started to dry up, as expected, but they’re getting really solid goaltending. Wolf should start against the Canes, too

Honestly, they've both earned it. Vladar only has poor numbers due to the first period vs Vancouver and none of those goals were on him, they were the result of the team being undisciplined.

I'd prefer Wolf starts against the Hurricanes and let Vladar deal with the Jets on Saturday. But I'm good with them continuing to alternate.

Yeah, it was bound to happen with this lineup. Looks like Huberdeau is back to his Calgary Flames self; and him, Mantha and Posp have looked really pedestrian. The fact we can't keep it up for a 5 game stretch tells you about the talent on the team.

Wolf is legitimately a star in the making though. 0.936SV% and 2.2GAA.

Not sure Razzy can keep up a 90+ point pace the rest of the year to carry the offensive load on the team

How many seasons did the Preds get away Rinne/Saros heroics to cover up the team’s anemic scoring? Even Cooley is off to a hot start for the Wranglers. Things seem to never click when they’re supposed to for the Flames but it’s heartening that our goaltending seems to finally be in a good place.

5-0-1 with this team is a coaching and goaltending miracle. When the slog of December/Jan/Feb hits, we’ll what the true colours of this team are. Right now, I quite like our defense. Weegar and Andersson are studs and the new additions have looked steady.

Backlund and Kadri were flatout our worst players at the start of last year too before picking it up. I’m sure the same will happen this season but the rebuild needs some younger blood down the middle.

You look up and down the Pacific, and if this team banks enough points in October and November, they’re probably heading to the playoffs
