If Babcock lasts the season, and we miss, or get bounced early, fire Shanahan and Dubas too.

If Babcock, the way things are going, lasts until Dec 1, that’s a gross misjudgement and gross misevaluation of what needs to be done.

If Babcock IS fired, then Dubas and Shanny have until the end of next season
Little dramatic with Dubas and Shanny - but one thing at a time. Start with Babcock

Keefe has currently a sample size of zero regarding coaching in a proper league. I don't see how Keefe has enough authority to coach superstars like Marner, Matthews or Tavares. He'll likely run into issues trying to please everyone.

Keefe won't have much clout as an AHL-only guy.

Take it from us Wings fans, you don't want to go down that road after firing Mike Babcock. Players tune out the other guy much quicker if they don't respect him...

They could fire Babcock and Dubas.

Babcock may have lost the room but Dubas is the one that assembled the room.

Remember, Dubas is the genius that traded away our 1st round draft picks to make the cap space to hand over 10+ million salaries.

Strategically it's most desirable for Dubas to weather the current storm then after the season fire Babcock following whatever result the team manages to achieve this season. That gives Dubas a couple more years under his handpicked coach and handpicked lineup to make it or break it.

It needs to happen and fast.

If not, this season is almost certainly headed towards tragic finish.

Shanahan is the one who needs to step up now and make the right move.
Like resign as President?

Pair Reilly and Barrie. Put them both on the PP too. Ceci is NOT a first pairing defense man. Never has been. why would he be now? Bye bye Babcock.......

can't wait for this to happen, then what's the narrative when they continue to lose under Keefe?
Exactly. This team has lacked any compete and grit for at least 3 seasons, aside from Kadri and Hyman. The d has gotten worse and is an abomination.

Babcock is a stubborn dinosaur, and absolutely needs to go, but you can only polish a turd so much before you realize it really is just a piece of shit. This GM embodies this team and has built it in his image. They are soft, all “skill”, and have no compete or problem being bent over by opponents over and over. He truly believes skill trumps all and I’m glad he’s being proven wrong.

Look at the pp and pk. It's coaching.

Let me get this straight. When you are watching our guys move the puck so slowly on the PP, not being very dynamic, etc, you actually believe they are being told to move the puck at glacier pace(so opponent can anticipate every move) on purpose? Now that's some magic shit right there. If true(and i don't belive that for a sec), then sure they should all be fired. We are doing that because it's the same play we make over and over as players are made that way(Willy for examle makes the same move all the time where he goes in and then cuts back..it's same play over and over again). JT also, very easy to check because he's good at protecting along the wall(most times anyways) but just gives it up otherwise because he's really not good at skating nor being that elusive(unlike Matthews and Marner who have some magic to them and are less predictable). But anyways..The PK seems more ok when we are very aggressive but unfortunately sometimes we just run out of gas and stand around..Also Goat and Shore just can't skate for shit so they're mostly standing around anyways. That way opponents can do what they want to us.

The Leafs have one of the worst winning percentage in the East.

Detroit, Rangers, Columbus only teams SLIGHTLY worse.

If Detroit wins tonight then be 1 win behind us.

Just hilarious.

Anyome thinking coaching isn’t a major issue is blindfolded
You kidding?

The roster is just not as good as last year, it is a .500 team.

Then the backup cannot win a game.

What you see is what you get.
