It's been a while since the Zegras trade talk last summer. Where has his value today? His two seasons at 60 pts seems to be far behind him now

This Habs fan still would consider bringing him to Montreal. What are the Ducks thinking today in terms of his value and what you would like in return?

He isn’t being moved. Especially coming off an injury.

No young Duck should be moved until Cronin is fired and they get a chance with another coach. Cronin sucks.

I was just wondering if the price changed.
Nope, still WAY more than you'd want to pay.

So the next step in the trade process (not by you) is for him to be called names, shown by cherry picked advanced stats that he's worthless, and then storm off in a huff when Anaheim won't give him away for a bag of pucks & a half dozen used jock straps...

/like Gliff said, nobody 'should' be moved until there's a new coach
//however, with PV wanting to look like he's doing 'something' other than ignoring the coaching issue...who knows

Yeah doesn't make sense for Ducks to trade Zegras like it wasn't making sense for Habs to trade Dach after 25 games this season.

Why would we want Zegras now ?
The top 6 for next year is pretty much set.

This is more about Zegras's value at this point in time. I'm open to a trade but if the value has come down. Don't look like the Ducks are interested in trading him with lower value they had this past summer.

How would he fit the Habs? That's another conversation. I do wonder what MSL could do to get his game back to 60 pts level and if were were to agree on a fair trade (both sides like), Habs could create a strong top 9F group.

Montreal fans: "We want Zegras"
Ducks fans: "No, he's having a down year but the talent is still there, he would cost a lot, and we don't want to move him"
Montreal fans: "BUT HE'S NOT A 60 PT SCORER ANYMORE, he's not very good, I offer Evans and a 3rd"
Ducks fans: "No, he can rebound with a better coach and more support, his talent is certainly there, overpayment only, or we keep him cause we don't have to move him"
Montreal fans: "Ducks fans overrate their players and are idiots"

Thread done. Repeat in two months.

Zegras I feel only gets moved if there's stuff behind the scenes that we're not aware of.
Like he's quietly asked to be traded, or he's an issue off the ice (which there's no indication of).

Ducks would be crazy to trade him now. 10 points this year. Calgary pushed Pelletier through waivers who has one less point in 6 less games than Zegras, and as a Flame fan I know Jakob doesn't hold much value.

What sense does it make for Anaheim to trade a 23 year old for a late first or second and middling prospect. Just doesn't make much sense.

That’s great. It’s nice to see that Habs fans are finally on a gravy train with biscuit wheels.
Shiny new wheels are coming in next year, much more promising than a Zegras aquisition.
We'll circle back in 2 years on your evaluation. Everybody and their grandmother know the Habs are not there yet. Doesn't mean they need to overpay for a Zegras now. They were interested last summer, but things have changed now. They went in another direction while he was not available. (+Laine, +Demidov)
So what is your point exactly ?
Besides trolling an entire fan base, which is the obvious.
Do you even know about roster construction ?

Someone mentioned not trading him until they change coaches. And that’s a fair point as it’s not just Zegras who hasn’t really blossomed under this coach. The problem is, when a GM changes coaches too many times, the owner starts thinking it’s time to replace the GM. So this Cronin experience might last longer than it should even though it doesn’t appear to be helping their young Cs. It seems like it might be a rock and a hard place until something gives way.
