I wonder when they're going to get around to retiring his number. And Bergeron's.

I think Zee is HOF eligible next year, isn't he?

Yes, Tuukka is as well according to TSN.

doubtful you'd see Rask's # being retired if the 1 IS BEING reissued and if 30 wasn't retired after Tim Thomas after 2011 you'd start running out of #'s if the NHL reties a # league-wide like 99.... it's not like the NBA where those banner retirements are in the same building.... just like 6 WAS RETIRED LEAGUE-WIDE after Russell's passing.... 33 and 37 are likely in the planning stages, it's just confirming when the franchise agrees to it

I'm super confused. 99 is the only league wide retirement... Tuukka, Chara and Bergeron will never get their #s retired league wide.

33 and 37 will go to the rafters. As will 63.

Arguments can be made for Tuukka and Krejci as well in my opinion. Tuukkas time with the franchise and achievements are amazing but the bruins have never retired a goalies number. Dk lead the playoffs in points twice, but I think he simply wasn't as popular as others and that might be his downfall.

To be clear here, when I mentioned Tuukka along with the TSN link I posted, all I was referring to was the fact that in the article it states that Tuukka is also eligible for the HOF in 2025. Didn't realize it was going to start derailing the Big Z thread. Nowhere was I at all referring to anyone's number being retired.

40 WON'T BE RETIRED just as 30 wasn't.... and isn't the 1 goes back to the origins of the franchise....

Retiring numbers has gotten out of hand sorry, should be for the elite in every franchise. Tuuka should not even be mentioned in hall of fame talk, nor his number being retired. Chara, and Bergeron, should be someday be in the hall.

Z and Thornton are automatic first ballot inductees IMO.

Also, I love Nick Foligno and it was a good thing he didn't fight Z. It wouldn't have ended well.

What a stacked list over the next few years

When they have seats to sell. That’s how it works recently with franchises nowadays. Marketing scam.

same w/ Middleton
Over the years you have truly set the bar pretty low when it comes to your posts making any sense at all but this is a new low.

Blasphemous.

I'm guessing you don't like him because he never played in Maine. Remember, Providence doesn't have a franchise if not for Portland and the Maine Mariners who Middleton never played for.

Nifty was blacklisted by the NHL/HOF he'd be an inductee and retired sooner. Why leave out that era and not retire him and OReilly of course they aren't Orr or Shore but they were stars here for a while.

Krejci will join Bergeron and Chara in the rafters based on longevity and never playing for another organization. I think Rask is a narrow miss if we won in 2019 or 2013 hes up there 100%.
