Zadorov takes a run at Oilers Stuart Skinner

He took the puck to the net and tried to score. If it wasn’t Zadorov this probably wouldn't be a thread. There’s zero intent to hurt the goalie.

Yeh no. That’s no excuse. Players take the puck to the net all the time to try to score, it doesn’t excuse them from running the goalie directly like that.

That’s ridiculous. Now he’s running the goalie? He has the puck?!? People need to believe villains are villains no matter what. He’s got the puck on his stick…..he didn’t “run” anyone. They gave him an interference penalty. That’s plenty. There’s zero intent. Even when he’s trying to score Zadorov is still evil incarnate.

I’ll maintain that this isn’t thread worthy or viewed as anything around here if it wasn’t Zadarov. If this was Lindholm it would get a yawn.

I suspect this thread is made cause of the impact of the contact, Skinners helmet flying off, while taking as direct of a hit as possible.

Of course they can’t run through the crease and make contact, that’s why it was an interference penalty. And nothing more. Because it’s zero intent. He tried to turn the corner around the defenseman and cut back across the net. He didn’t make it and hit the goalie. Thus an interference call.

You’re making my point for me. You’re making a bigger deal out of it because of his reputation. Which is why the thread happened. If someone who didn’t have his reputation made this same play no one would think it was intentional. Because it wasn’t intentional. No one on the Oilers went after him because they knew it wasn’t intentional, he was trying to score and they got the call. There’s no extra discipline because it wasn’t intentional. This is a scoring attempt. Two minutes was plenty. This isn’t a thread about Skinner getting injured on a play, it’s a thread about Zadorov making in someone’s opinion a dirty play and “taking a run” which caused an injury.
