HF Board Update questions/issues thread

I solved my dark mode issue by going to Windows settings and turning everything to dark mode.

Anybody else having issue posting on Firefox? I have to use Chrome to post this.

This started happening a few days before the change, and continues:

Every time I open a new page on the site it gives me a privacy pop-up in which I can decide to accept or reject cookies.

It's a bit excessive.

But better than the last trouble I had with that pop-up, where it wouldn't work no matter what I pressed.

Any other Europeans having this issue?

For me, the biggest outstanding issue is the right hand side panel. It has always been completey useless and was thanfully able to be hidden prior the to upgrade. Hidding that allowed the main center screeen to blessfully take up more horizontal landscape.

Please fix this. Nobody buys a large screen monitor to only use the four center inches of the display.

Sorry I am being lazy and not reading around too much, but this new update is jarring to say the least. Is there any chance things will go back to looking similar to before? The site is borderline unusable in the current condition.

It literally says on the stickied banner at the top of the page that the update screwed over all the HFBoards custom templates and styles, and they are slowly working on it to restore them.

Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates, this is just a temporary look. We will continue to work on clearing up these issues for the next few days and restore the site to it's more familiar look, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

How the hell are some of you not getting dark mode? I can't get out of it and it is by far the worst dark mode I've seen in a while.

None of this will be addressed as long as we're rolling the temporary stock theme, I'd just have to do all this work twice. The replacement real theme that's being worked on may support some of this but I need to wait until the design people are done with it before I can tweak it / mold it into what we want.

In dark mode it flashes a white background for a fraction of a second when I refresh a page or load a new one. It's like a bright light. Very annoying.
