Is this a possibility? If so I’m stoked.
MSL would do wonders with this kid.

Would you place Zadina ahead of guys like RHP, Newhook, Farrell, Heineman, Roy?

If the Wings buy him out, I doubt he signs with the Habs. Why? He's going to choose a team with a more shallow prospect pool. He don't want to play AHL, he wants a full time NHL job.

I don't see how he would fit in our top9 short term or long term.

Slafkovsky, Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Anderson, Newhook are already top9 guys that we probably keep for a while and then you have RHP, Mesar, Roy, Farrell, Heineman and Beck of which several should be able to be fixture in our top9 as well.

I don't think a somewhat soft scoring winger (who doesn't really score right now) is something we need.

The perfect fit would be a rich man Anderson for Caufield and Suzuki.

I'd give him a chance. It just takes 1-2 injuries for us to completely lose our depth. And he seems to play well enough everywhere else except Detroit + I'd love it if we end up with a high pick better then KK from his draft (although I wish him all the best).

He'll get a better opportunity elsewhere and guys who perform as badly as he has usually don't turn it around.

The Habs also don't really have a good fit for him on the roster, even if you ascribe to the (flawed) idea that any forward over 25 needs to be traded/waived/fired into the sun.

Depends on the price I guess, he could be a decent reclamation project. Maybe not as promising right now as Dach or Newhook was/is, but the tools are there. I wouldn't go out of my way though.

Injuries. Like last year remember

Everyone keeps harping on about BPA so they must love this guy a lot.
Hypothetically speaking. Injuries like last year?

This is getting old and cult-like
It’s a little amusing that a coach with very little experience and no resume gets treated like a prophet by some. At some point, he’s going to have to start getting team results on top of being a players coach. He’s not some miracle worker that can tap into any small and/or skill players potential just because that’s of what he was during his playing career. That said, I do still really like having a guy like this around at this stage of a rebuild. But I have a feeling he won’t be around long when the team takes the next step and actually has expectations.

I’d be curious to see how motivated he is to prove the hockey community he’s still a worthy talent. At 23 he has a lot of hockey left in him. We have our own questions from that draft with Jesse Ylonen who we took early in the 2nd round. I agree that he’ll have to play top 9 to be effective.

So yeah I’d take a flyer on him, Zadina‘s addition would add to our talent pool & overall competition come training camp. AAV 1.5 milion.
