I think the Jets are adding a middle six forward and a defenseman at the deadline, more inclined to say 3LD than 3RD, but that could be a defenseman who is currently playing top 4.

Not sure any player off the roster is available, if anyone is it's likely Ville Heinola who could QB a PP, and get a fresh starter as a regular, but he might be kept for that position next year, given the uncertainty.

Jets might put up their 1st this year, if it's the right fit, probably with an emphasis on some term. 2nd next year could be in play too. The lowest draft position the Jets have ever started in is 60th in 2018, so it will be interesting to see if they would go into this year's draft starting potentially in the 90s. In spite of having only 4 picks last year, the Jets look to have found some potential steals in the later rounds.
Brad Marchand would fit pretty well.

The St. Louis Blues:

Needs

To drop as far in the standings as possible. Draft picks are nice, but very young NHL talent, and players ready to make the jump to the NHL are more desirable. Long term, they need dynamic players on both RHD & LHD. Center depth especially #2 & #3. Dvorsky is probably on the roster next season, but he shouldn’t be expected to be the #2C from the outset.

Assets

Anyone not named Thomas, Broberg, Holloway, and Dvorsky should on the table.

It’s doubtful that Kyrou and Parayko are available, but it all depends on the offers.

Schenn - Army will want a sizable return
Buchnevich - should be available
Fowler
Faulk
Leddy
Faksa
Texier
Binnington
Suter

Prospects are available but it would need to be for young NHL talent that fills a long term gap. Snuggerud, Lindstein, Jiricek, Stenberg, etc.. are probably only on the table in blockbuster deals.

2025 first round pick (anywhere from 5-12) should be available depending on the return.

It’s impossible to fix everything at the TDL, but some major changes are needed.

What the Jets need is a true 2C and top 4 RHD upgrade
What the Jets will get is a bottom pairing LHD like Dumoulin or bottom pairing RHD depth and possibly a 3C like Laughton…maybe depth bottom 6 wingers also, depending on cost.

Available picks are any ‘25 picks, and ‘26 and beyond 2nds - 7ths
Available prospects are any not named Yager, Salomonsson, or Lambert unless getting a proven 2C or top 4 RHD with term, (preferably youngish)…ie; Bennett, Dobson, etc
Available players are possibly Perfetti, (in a deal for a true 2C or top 4 RHD), Barron, possibly one of Kupari or Gustafsson, maybe Ehlers if he has let it known he won’t extend in WPG or is asking to much, Heinola, maybe Stanley but unlikely, other non core players are possible.

Not available are any of our roster players who are contributing production and likely to help in the playoff run. (any with a * could be moved if they have refused to extend or are asking to much)
Scheif
Connor
Vilardi
Ehlers *
Niederreiter
Lowry
Namestnikov *
Morrissey
DeMelo
Samberg
Pionk

Blackhawks clear some bodies out

Connor Murphy, Seth Jones (maybe), Alec Martinez (his choice), TJ Brodie (the answer to your dman issues)

Ryan Donato, Maybe Pat maroon and Craig smith if they both choose to want to go elsewhere

Have a lot of prospects coming in contract wise.

Don't lie to people, TJ Brodie is very VERY, NOT the Answer

Ducks need a right handed forward, and someone who can win faceoffs in the top nine, ideally the same player. Also a goal scorer who is physical, but who doesn't need one of those. JGP or Coyle/Geekie etc. I feel like any bigger moves would happen in the offseason.

On the trade list:
Gibson
Dumoulin
Fabbri
Lundestrom
Leason

#1 Center, Our defense is great now, perfectly set up for the Now and Future.

Leafs need more like a 2C and IDK where you think a need on bottom pair is..

Myers is in the top 4 a lot of nights and Timmins is in the top 6.

That's not good enough.

Myers should be in Timmins spot.

And Timmins should be fired into the sun.

Yes they absolutely 100% need a D man.

Ok, I'll play.

The Sharks need a top four RD. Ideally one who is slightly overpaid, only has a couple years of term left, and is on a cash-strapped team. This is in the hope that we can keep the cost relatively low. We also need to continue accumulating prospects who show some promise, and yet again, preferably on defense.

What we can offer: pennies on the dollar depth players, and short term cap relief.

...Mike Matheson is a LD that can play RD and you can have him for free, just call Kent Hughes...

The Rangers,

Their biggest need is to be honest with themselves and sell off pieces like Lindgren, Vesey, and Smith. I know Dolans the owner so there’s always that mandate to make the playoffs, but they really need to recoup some assets, bring up some kids, and look to the summer and next season.

They only have so much cap space. They need scoring far more. Or do you plan to win 16 games 1-0? That strategy has worked so well for them..

Just because they need one does not mean they do not need the other.

You are welcome to try but It's going to be very hard to convince me that a defense with both Myers and Timmins on it is good enough.

Senators need 2 top 6 wingers.
Don't really see the need for 2 but hey wouldn't hate it.

Tkachuk and Batherson are locks, Girouxs offence has started to slip a bit but I'll bet he's in top form for the next 2 months, this break does wonders for guys like him.

Really we need to target a goal scoring winger to play with Stützle, ideally long-term.

Love Boeser but no idea what it'd cost to get him and keep him. McCann also a solid option IMO.

I'm all in for trading one of our next two 1sts even if we owe the league the other one from the Dadonov thing. Brady is only here 4 more years, need to go for it while we have him, he'll leave in UFA for the US if we're not a contender.

Other than that, we could use an upgrade on Hamonic for a 6/7D.

Solid in net.
