Habs need a RHD d-men under 30 yrs old to play with Huston and maybe a guy for #5-6 role RHD too.

They need a real 4th line liner with some offensive mind better than Pezz.

Honestly, no clue. I don't necessarily think we will address any of these "needs" until the offseason, or even until into next season, and I am ok with that. I could see our deadline addition being Michael McCarron or something like that. Hell, the fact that we likely won't be selling Giroux and Cousins is a win in and of itself.

i dont see us going for a RD, since Jensen and Zub have term and Yak needs a spot for next season. I would like us to get a winger on an expiring contract for a cheap price. Would pay up a bit if its a winger with term but cant pay too much due to the 1st round pick penalty

In terms of available pieces sens dont really have much outside of draft picks
Gregor (honestly i like him especially with his speed and would keep him over Gaudette but Green has a good relationship with Gaudette)

Sebrango: probably the most valuable available piece (isnt saying much), has been progressing in the minors, played 2 games with the sens and didnt look out of place. No long term spot for him with ottawa as he is a LD and that side is locked up for ottawa.

Soogard/Crookshank/Jenik: Players that will need waivers next year that some team might want to give a tryout too

Essentially a whole lot of blah. I could see sens offering up Sebrango+2026 3rd for a middle 6 winger (ideally one with some speed).

Hate the Leafs BUT Casey Cizikas is the perfect 4th line energy guy. Also Mayfield on the3rd pair is perfect . We move him up sometimes and we shake our head but he was the minutes leader on our playoff runs and seemingly always on the ice in the D zone at critical times .. You Leafs are having a great season good luck the rest of the way…. LGI

IMO, the Ducks have a lot of assets in futures either picks or prospects available. If a team is looking for those items, the Ducks are a perfect partner. If a team is looking for a hockey trade, the Ducks are probably not a fit.

For sure, their young players on the team are not available. The only way players like Zegras, McTavish, etc... are involved in any trade would be for a true superstar, and they are part of a larger package. The chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Nailed it!!!

Top 6 goal scoring winger is a code red need. I would also say moving Gibson's $ and getting a suitable back up to Dostal being the #1 is another huge priority.

He's old. We want someone who can be the 2C next year and beyond and this year give us crazy C depth.

Matthews or JT gets injured like we saw this year and Kampf is our #2C. We need that insurance

Personally, I'm absolutely interested in him as well, assuming the islanders are willing to retain.

Picking up Palms and JGP to fill that role (JGP role needed next year as well, Palms role potentially/likely filled by Arseni Gritysuk when he comes over from russia so a pure rental there) would be ideal for me

Actually Nylander becomes the 2C. They need a 3C that is better than Domi who is better as a playmaking winger than a center. Someone like a Granlund, or Nelson or even Laughton would be perfect in that role. Imagine a line up of

Marner Matthews Knies,
Tavares Nylander McMann,
Domi, Laughton/Nelson Paches
Holmberg kampf dewar


with multiple guys who can step in and out like jarnkrok, Robertson etc?

I’d be extremely happy with that lineup to start the playoffs

Add a good #5 dman to the mix and the Leafs are definitely one of the 4 or 5 favorites.
