we are early in the season, but any big changes on your personal lists?

couple of guys for me would be harrison brunicke with pens and isaiah george with isles.
artamonov, zavragin, mancini, gritsyuk....etc
obviously a lot of players have popped so far, so who do you got?

Tarin smith for Anaheim(think we had him like 20th), looks like top 10, might even flirt with top 5 at end of season.

Masse also looked good, but unfortunately injured now, but might be in my top 10 now.

Didn't make a list for the year, but biggest climber is AJ Spellacy who is now easily top ten in a deep bunch. Also, Sacha Boisvert has been defying the fanbase's pessimistic expectations, and Nolan Allan has fared well so far in his NHL stint.

Still can't believe Smith fell as far as he did.

For Montreal now that Hutson has graduated (but would have been above Rein)

My 2024 updated for the Sharks:

0. Reese Laubach
1. Macklin Celebrini
2. Will Smith
3. Sam Dickinson
4. Quentin Musty
5. Shakir Mukhamadullin
6. Igor Chernyshov
7. Filip Bystedt
8. Kasper Halttunen
9. David Edstrom
10. Luca Cagnoni

The strongest prospect pool I've ever seen the Sharks have.

Mostly the same for me until Celebrini and Smith no longer meet the requirements. Here are my changes after the Askarov trade and early returns on the season:

1. Macklin Celebrini

2. Will Smith

3. Yaroslav Askarov

4. Sam Dickinson

5. Quentin Musty

6. Shakir Mukhamadullin

7. Filip Bystedt

8. Luca Cagnoni

9.Kasper Halttunen

10. Igor Chernyshov

Honorable mention to Eric Pohlkamp who is going hard in Denver.

EDIT: Goes without saying that Laubach is the truth and the REAL future of Sharks hockey.

3. Kemell
4.Svechkov
5.Molendyk
6. Wood
7. Gibson
8. Surin
9. Stiga
10. Del Gaizo

Something like that.
UPDATE: After the Askarov trade I'd say Nashville's looks something like:

Molendyk
L'Heureux
Wood
Kemell
Svechkov
Surin
Edstrom
Scahefer
Gibson
Stiga

8 1sts in the top 10, not bad, another three 1sts and two 2nds this year will look very good. I'd say Del Gaizo will be considered graduated.

You forgot Owen Beck, whom I'd have above Roy, and Mesar, whom I'd have marginally above Xhekaj.

But given the picks Montreal has (one of which looks to be a top-5 pick right now) and that they'll probably trade Evans, Savard, and maybe others, I think the prospect pool will look much different at next year's draft.

You would put Mancini behind Garand and Emery?

I would have him top three for sure.

I think he’s a little overrated overall because he’s playing in the NHL (well, not really playing right now). He’s gotten caved so far. He’d be in the AHL by now if he wasn’t big, and probably will be in another week or two. He’s not NHL ready. Needs a year in the AHL. Next year I think he could be a bottom pair defensemen. Has a ceiling of maybe a 4.

And you gotta consider that those others are younger than him. Garand is doing a decent job in the AHL, and likely is the NHL backup next year. Yeah, Mancini got some NHL games earlier, but their NHL ETA is pretty much the same, if you go by when they should be in the NHL (25-26). And Garand is younger and I think has the chance to be at least a 1B type, which I’d classify as more important than a 4-6 defenseman. Emery is 4 years younger than Mancini and a first round pick. I don’t think he has like extremely high upside, but maybe a little higher and a much better pedigree.

Pick your poison on the last spot. Super deep list, but Wolf and Coronato are on the verge of graduating (Coronato has 5 goals in 10 games already this year).

Yep, Beck I'd put on par with Roy, maybe a bit below. Mesar I'd have just out of the top 10, I don't really see him developing into an NHLer at this point

For MN, Bankier and especially, Peart, have failed to impress early on. I might replace them with Haight and either Kiviharju or Milne(just called up). Others who are impressing early on are Pionk and Jimmy Clark.

Marat is already a regular and doesn't look out of place.

guy will be hated by opponents around the league in a few years.

Idk what our top 10 looks like

Guys like gauthier, luneau, zellweger I’d consider graduates(or essentially graduated) So overall our top 10 prob looks weak.

Another prospect that is doing well for us is Sam colangelo…. Currently has 6 goals and 10 points in his AHL rookie season. Lot of people felt he could have made the nhl roster

1. Brayden Yager
2. Joël Blomqvist
3. Sergey Murashov
4. Owen Pickering
5. Ville Koivunen
6. Mikail Ilyn
7. Harrison Brunicke
8. Tanner Howe
9. Vasily Ponomarev
10. Samuel Poulin

:wings

  1. LD Simon Edvinsson - top pair two-way defenseman
  2. GT Sebastian Cossa - starter
  3. RD Axel Sandin-Pellikka - second pair powerplay specialist
  4. RC Nate Danielson - second-line two-way center
  5. LC Marco Kasper - middle-six power forward
  6. RW Michael Brandsegg-Nygård - middle-six power forward
  7. LW Carter Mazur - middle-six power forward
  8. LD Albert Johansson - bottom pair shutdown defenseman
  9. GT Trey Augustine - back-up
  10. RD William Wallinder - bottom pair two-way defenseman

Honorable mentions: Becher, Buium, Finnie, Forslund, James, Kiiskinen, Lombardi, Plante, Savage, and Söderblom. You can make a case for Buchelnikov, especially given how little pressure there is in rushing him, but outside of his shot, his game leaves a lot to be desired.

9.) Daniil Orlov
10.) Chase Stillman
HM: Josh Filmon
HM: Kasper Pikkarainen
HM: Matyas Melovsky

This is roughly where I stand for NJ. Obviously a step down with all the graduates but as I said in another thread, Orlov is one who could really take off out of nowhere. His production in the VHL indicates, with minutes, he should be capable of a large offensive jump in the KHL this season.

HM's which based on the number people push into these I would assume means heavily masturbating - Viljami Marjala, Brodie Ziemer, Adam Kleber, and Luke Osburn.

Savoie is gone, Levi is graduated so going off the cuff without re-rating everyone on the big ol' spreadsheet, I will wing it with the following -

1 - Kulich
2 - Helenius
3 - Rosen
4 - Ostlund
5 - Wahlberg
6 - Komarov
7 - Neuchev
8 - Strbak
9 - Johnson
10 - Novikov

HM - Prokor Poltapov who might wind up in the top 10 when I actually take the time to grade everyone.

What's considerable?

Luca Cagnoni opened the eyes of a lot of Sharks fans this summer. He went from a strong prospect tourney to a stronger training camp showing to the leading AHL defenseman scorer as a 19 year old rookie (he's 20 in December making him AHL eligible).

He's been on a tear but he would only jump 2 spots since I already had him rated higher than most.

I'm not the Caps fan you quoted (I didn't post my own top 10 over the summer) but I'll throw these out. (I mostly agree with Carlzners Caps list, though I'd quibble with Funk being where he is.)

-Cristall may have moved up into that top tier with Miro and Leonard.
-Iorio has reportedly stepped up his game, playing increased, and more important, minutes in Hershey, looking more and more like a solid NHL caliber d-man.
-The big name new to the list would be Ilya Protas, with 18 points in 14 games as an 18 year old in his first season in the OHL. Most importantly, he reportedly looks to have the skill to support those numbers.
