LAK have Carter and toffoli. See Pearson and Kovi to show how much more a player scores out of LA. Carter would be good for Cannucks to play with Pearson again. He has very little actual money owed and LA would retain to reduce the cap. I hope LA keep Toffolli. I think he goes elsewhere and gets 70 points next season. Just my gut feeling.

don't think bruins would do it, but what would it cost to do a deal involving backes and carter?

Jets are looking for D like crazy, that I know.

But don't know who happens to be available right now, but I could see the Jets getting a guy like Jeff Petry.

with all the trade deadline lists popping up today, seemed like a good time to bring this back.
what's your team needs at this point?

:bruins

needs:
-top 4 LHD
-top 9 RW (kase can't be counted on to be healthy)
-depth center

likely available:
-anders bjork
-jakub zboril
-john moore
-several prospects/picks
-really anyone that won't be protected in expansion could be legitimately listed here

A 1C (or a solid 2C) and maybe a younger goal scorer would be the instant needs. Our defence is terrible but have prospects coming up so not urgent to fix atm. So most likely not going to happen.

Oh does anyone have a new owner up on the trade block as well?

Flyers needs
F's are fine but progress from Patrick and Lindblom would help.
G's no issues Hart not blowing up via Boston would help.
D Flyers are one d short. rhd preferable. Ekholm is the name more in the press but Savard being rhd maybe a better fit and cost less being a pure rental.

Needs:
- young 3rd line center (who can play defense, win draws and create plays)
- defensively sound RD partner for Quinn Hughes

Would be nice:
- younger, defense first LD to replace Edler

Available:
- *Pearson/ Edler (if the team falls out of contention, will field offers)
- anyone in the bottom-6 not named Motte (Roussel, Virtanen, Gaudette, Sutter, Beagle, MacEwen all available for the right price; Baertschi and Eriksson are immediately available for curbside pickup ;))

A #1C, a breather, about two weeks' time to get an actual preseason in, and for The Traitor to finally come clean about why he forced his way out so all the FUD can go away.

His name is Shane Pinto. We need to give him a shot. He might be signing this season.

Habs should go after Ekholm . Weber has slown and cannot carry guys no more . Ekholm can carry him and get the best out of him in return . Chariot would then go to the third pair with Romanov where he would be ideal and not playing over his head . This would stabilize the whole backend . After this a veteran center to step in for the kids when they struggle would be good. Ie stall . If the team at that stage does not deliver ( and you let them know this ), you sell off Ekholm next year to recover your assets and a whole lot more. Weber , petry , Gallagher would all be shipped in a rebuild and that would force price to waive his nmc because he won’t wanna stay . This is the year to do it because of ekholms term left

Only thing lacking in Toronto is a defensively sound top pairing RHD. A back up goalie would have to be explored, but hutch has looked better since he was given a new lease on life under Keefe.
Pieces available are forward Depth both on the roster today and in the system, draft picks and Cody Ceci. In other words I don’t see much happening unless someone decides to bottom out and take a futures package.
Pretty much everyone not on the roster aside from the two Swedish D men would be readily available and sure I suppose even one of those two might shake free in the right deal if comes along.
Just outta curiosity what are the leafs sending to the pens for Cody ceci, so the leafs can use him as a trade chip?

I obviously do not watch enough Wing games as I thought Bertuzzi was untouchable. I thought he was pretty damn good when I did watch him play? Devils need a scoring winger with speed . Possible straight up hockey trade for one of Mantha or Bertuzzi?

Ideally a 2nd for Glendening (though I think a 3rd would be fine). Bert is probably a 1st + prospect. Although in a fantasy world Detroit adds to both of them and gets Spencer Knight back.

Bert is definitely the least likely player to be moved among those I listed, given that he brings pretty consistent effort and creativity on both ends of the ice. He's not fast at all though, bless him. Mantha is the guy who is the scoring winger with speed you may be looking for. Both would probably cost a 1st + prospect (or a younger roster player) to get at this point, but maybe after the 2022 Draft a hockey trade could be explored. Wings have no need to sell either player without getting quality futures back. They are still very far from competing for even the playoffs, let alone a Cup.

Ya I doubt a 2nd for Glendening solely because of the limited offense but a 3rd seems like a closer cost.

That's fair for Bertuzzi, just curious why DET would move him? I guess he will be nearing his 30s when DET is competitive again and Knight isn't going anywhere, we need his ELC to offset Bob's deal
