Good summary. I think the Oilers 4th line is the best 4th line in the league.

lol huge homer, watch all 29 other teams and then make an educated opinion about the best fourth line on a team, the team with the worst record defiantly doesn't have the best fourth line lets be real.
the maple leafs i consider a revolving door myself but its pretty brutal atm
Booth Smith Panik

One guy is done probably should have put him on the waiver wire already another a career ahler the other is an interesting piece though i dont know exactly what we have in panik but i would keep ahold of him for now

Last year I would have put Columbus' 4th line up against pretty much any 4th line in the league. This year... with injuries and letting people go it's honestly bottom 5. With Letestu back thats a hugeee improvement but still not the same. It's usually something around Tropp-Letestu-boll with some guys alternating in and out (Skille, Morin) depending on if the team is half injured at that point or not

Pretty hypocritical to ask a guy to watch 29 other teams when you clearly don't watch the Oilers.

The Oilers 4th line has been far, far from the problem with the team.

Look at how many DZ starts they get so the other lines can be sheltered. That line shut down guys like Ovi, Stamkos etc..

Think about that... Boyd Gordon is only a -1 even though he only has 18% of his starts in the OZ. That is unreal considering the Oilers D and goalies.

Yes Oil fans can be homerish but there is a reason teams are calling about Gordon and Hendricks.

Ott-Goc-Reaves is off to a pretty nice start. Reaves and Ott both have goals tonight. I can't say where they rate against the entire league, but I like line and I'd guess they're in the top 5 or so.

I think Reaves is the best 4th liner in the league. Bangs, fights and can actually skate for a big dude.

They've actually been really good together, one of the better 4th lines in the league I'd imagine.

Lecavalier GP 36 7G 7A 14P
Bellemare GP 49 4G 4A 8P
Vandevelde GP 40 7G 5A 12P

Lecavalier plays on the 2nd PP unit the other 2 play on our PK as a unit.

Oilers fan saying Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck. I like the Oilers fourth line, but the Islanders 4th line is a class above. Can chip in offence (31 points combined), are solid defensively and hit anything that moves (Martin and Clutterbuck are number 1&2 respectively in the league for hits).

Don Cherry (someone who has shown very little love towards the Isles over the years) recently said they may be the best 4th line ever...

Uh oh.

If Don Cherry loves it, it's quite likely terrible.

Take it back Don, TAKE IT BACK!

At the beginning of the year I would have said this line would be a disaster but they have been clicking, maybe Vinny still has something left in the tank?

Right now, with Foligno and McCormick out, it's Nic Deslauriers - Matt Ellis - Patrick Kaleta. That's likely the worst 4th line in the league. If everyone was healthy, it would be Deslauriers - McCormick - Flynn, or whoever is struggling the most would rotate in at that right wing spot. That 4th line still isn't good, but it's at least better. Ellis and Kaleta both played under five minutes tonight.

With everyone healthy:
Adams-Lapierre-Sill

29th. Only reason it's not 30th is because Tanner Glass isn't on it.

With Malkin out it's Adams-Ebbett-Sill.

Pretty much. Nothing comes even close to a Adams - Ebbett - Sill line.

I don't want to talk about it. Last time Pens had a truly great 4th line Bush was in office.

Roberts-Hall-Laraque

They weren't together for long nor were they tremendous producers but boy could they cycle the puck and wear the other team down. I miss that line dearly and they brought an extra dimension to the Pens.

On the current 4th one belongs in a retirement home and the other belongs in the echl. The third is a serviceable face off/pk guy. It makes me sad.

Whats so great about the Isles 4th line other than the fact that they hit a ton? 31 points combined doesnt sound very impressive to me... Are they a great line defensively?

Im not trying to say they arent a good 4th line, but Im curious why people think they're the undisputed best.

I doubt you even watch the Oilers or all other 28 teams. The Oilers are bad but it's not because of their 4th line. Though, I would agree they're not #1.

They can hit, cycle, and dominate the ice when they are out there. Capuano plays them against pretty much any line. They are what you want in a 4th line.

Islanders fourth line is close to the best in the league. Has to be top 3.

Clutterbuck and Martin are 3rd line players excelling on the fourth.
