Our lineup is a revolving door. But I think I'd say Smith Pelly-Thompson-Jackman

Not high but I will say that Thompson is excellent on the PK. Jackman as the grit guy we like to have in the lineup he's probably my favorite since Parros and May traded starts. He's a warrior. Plays with a lot of intensity, has been contributing offensively even if just possessing long enough to say "he's not just some plug player in the lineup for the sake of physicality" and he's a good fighter. Smith Pelly at his best passes for a top 6 player but he so rarely plays to his potential I find myself asking why we even dress him.

Miller - Glendening - Jurco for the most part. Two studs defensively and a young top 9 tweener with size. Can't say anything negative about them honestly.

Nordstrom-Kruger-Smith

Kruger and Smith are fantastic at their jobs IMO, which is to absorb the toughest zone starts and to PK. They do both extremely well, and can throw some production in, though they haven't had much success with that this year.

Nordstrom is average. There is literally nothing he does particularly well, nor anything he does particularly poorly. Which makes him about 15,000 times better than Brandon Bollig, who occupied that slot last year, but not as good as Carcillo or Shaw, either of which could probably fill the role better.

I miss Frolik. :(

When we're healthy,

Hendricks - Gordon - Klinkhammer

Gordon is the key, and not really a 4th liner. He's one of the best defensive players in the league, and an elite faceoff guy. Hendricks is the feisty vet, who's the team leader, and does whatever it takes to win. Klinkhammer is the new addition, who basically just goes out and hits everything in sight.

I wouldn't trade it for any 4th line in the league.

On the whole it's pretty brutal, but they've been playing well and chipping in on offenser lately.

The Oilers have a great 4th line. If they didn't get 10,000 DZ starts they would put up more points than they have.

Dorsett-Horvat-Hansen

But the 3rd and 4th lines kind of both act as 3rd lines depending which one is clicking.

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, the 2nd line is also a 3rd line. So basically Vancouver has a 1st line and three 3rd lines.

Depending on Therrien's mood these are the players that can play on the fourth line from time to time

Bollig-Stajan-Byron

Bollig has maybe 1 more year at best in this league. Just not a very useful player. Hartley gives the guy ice time because of the whole intimidation and security thing... Players seem to feel safer with a thug on the 4th line, I guess.

Byron is the fastest guy on the team and a good PKer, just no finish whatsoever.

Stajan could probably be a top 9 centre, but he accepts this lesser role so the Flames rookies and prospects can get sheltered offensive minutes.

I would put our 4th line at about 20th in the league.

Good summary. I think the Oilers 4th line is the best 4th line in the league.

whoever + Glass --> 30th
whoever without Glass (Combination of Moore, Stempniak, Fast and Miller) --> upper middle of the pack.

With everyone healthy:
Adams-Lapierre-Sill

29th. Only reason it's not 30th is because Tanner Glass isn't on it.

With Malkin out it's Adams-Ebbett-Sill.

Morrow/Brown - Boyle - Connolly

It's actually a good bit of scoring too, with Boyle and Connolly. Really good line.

Edit: Just noticed the four of them have a total of 22 goals. 22 goals out of your fourth line is pretty awesome imo.

Recently Carter-Coyle-Nino. I'd say that's pretty dang good.

Normally Cooke-Carter-Fontaine... which is.. average?

That is an insane 4th line that I would vote number 1 (although your GDT for tonight says Andersson is the center instead of Glendening).
Islanders' is also near the top.
