Minnesota
2003 Minnesota Wild

They become the first team in history to win back to back playoff series after being down 3-1. How do they follow that up in the 3rd round with home ice advantage? They not only get swept by the Ducks, but they scored ONLY ONE SINGLE GOAL in the entire series. One goal. One single humiliating goal.

Still hurts. Damn you, Giggy!

And people were still frustrated with Giguere getting the Conn Smythe, smh. Giguere in 2003 was carrying the Ducks single-handedly to Game 7 of the SCF.

1. Trading Kravtsov
2. Sending down Rempe
3. Buying out Henrik Lundqvist so we could keep Georgiev

HM Trading Buchnevich for Blais
1.Not retiring JT Miller's jersey after his first game
2.Not sitting out as a team until the league retires his jersey too
3.Not launching a Rangers led insurgency against the US government to make JT Miller the God King of America forever.

Edmonton
Edmonton Oilers drafting all those busts with the boat load of 1st overall picks they had. The only one who was not a bust is McDavid.
Ryan Nugent Hopkins is going to play his thousandth game next season and chances are really good he hits a thousand points in his career too.

Taylor Hall has 700 points and only one player from his draft class has more.

Ignorant post.

The first thing that came to my mind was the entire 2012 Pens v Flyers series. I felt dirty just watching it at the time and not knowing if we were going to win by or lose by 10 goals.

HM: The Mighty Ducks home opener with all of the Disney characters still gives me second-hand embarrassment.

3. Hmm. The Valentine's Day Massacre after Forsberg retired. Zanon flipping out about reporters standing on the logo. Duchene's 30 goal celebration. A game during 2016-17 when there were more Chicago fans in the building than Colorado. I might be missing one or two.

The early days of the Pittsburgh Penguins were marred with incompetence and a disappointing on-ice product they thought maybe a real live Penguin Mascot would help turn things around. Boy were they ever wrong….

2. In the shortened 2012-2013 The league leading Penguins made huge splashes at the trade deadline, acquiring captains and other roster players like Infinity Stones. They picked up Brendan Morrow, HOFer Jerome Iginla, Doug Murray, and Jussi Jokinen to round out an already incredibly strong team. They were poised to go all-in and were surefire favorites to win the cup…

After easily handling the Islanders and rolling over Ottawa the Penguins went on to get swept by the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference finals, scoring only 2 goals in 4 games. All but Jokinen left the Penguins after the embarrassment.

I’ll come back later on when I decide on #3 as these two already made me sad lol.

Ribiero writhing on the ice

Habs fans call 911 over Chara hit

Kovalev embellishing a tap on the wrist that leads to a Bruins goal.

I don’t know how many people actually called 911, but that one has always bothered me, as it was most likely a small number of fans making the rest of us look ridiculous.

For the Habs it' Marc Bergevin.

#1, 2 and 3 combined.

We will still pay for his moves for years to come which will prevent the Habs from being competitive.

Basically the entire decade of darkness, but let's see here.

The Miracle on Manchester. Game 5 against Anaheim, and losing to the 2020 Blackhawks.
The entire decade of darkness, terrible trades/decision making like three picks for Griffin Reinhart or losing youth like Holloway/Broberg, and letting the Canucks series get to game 7 last playoffs (now we’re stuck hearing injury/Demko excuses every chance we get).

All together, that probably counts for like 20 embarrassing moments though.

:hawks

- 1971 Finals game 7. Hawks lead 2-0 in the 2nd and then Esposito gives up a goal to Lemaire from center ice.
Montreal comes back to win. It would take 39 more years for Chicago to finally win another cup.

- Phil Esposito trade. As bad as it gets.

- Aldrich scandal

HM:
Tearing down the 90's team with Roenick, Chelios, etc.
Bill Wirtz not televising home games.
The clown taking Adam Pardy's helmet.
etc.
