Let’s hear them. What moments will live on as your team’s most embarrassing moments. I was thinking about the Leafs 6 shot playoff performance against Jersey and a few others and thought it would be interesting to hear from other fans

Leafs top 3:

1. Zamboni Driver beats leafs

2. Game 7 playoff collapse

This one was just a heartbreaker as they had that game all but wrapped up

3. Game 6 vs New Jersey only managed 6 shots

Playoff game - a modern era record low of 6 shots in a game in a must win game

17 seconds in 2013, 2019 wet fart of a game 7 in the finals, 2023 collapse all come to mind. 2010 3-0 blown lead to Philly is worth mentioning although we rectified that a year later. Blowing a 3-1 lead to Montreal in 2004 wasn't too gleeful either.

These were all pretty recent though. I think one I see referenced pretty regularly even 50+ years after it happened was the too many men call that led to the Habs tying the game and then winning it in 7. This was one of the 18 straight playoff series they beat us in.

So as a Bruins fan who's only been watching a lot for about 9-10 years now, there will be some recency bias but I'm gonna say

- Too many men to the Habs
- 2019 game 7 no show against the Blues
- 2023 collapse to the Panthers

I'd like to hear from a Bruins fan who's watched a lot longer than me though. They'll have a more accurate list.

1. Treating our first superstar Pavel Bure like crap and trying to pay him in Canadian funds when he was promised US funds. The franchise made Bure look like the bad guy.

2. Gretzky was considering playing for the Canucks and told Pat Quinn and management let me sleep on it. Apparently management couldn't wait and called the Great one in the middle of the night demanding a decision. Gretzky was turned off and left the Nucks in the dust.

3. Hiring Jim Benning and after a few years of incompetent general managing, Aqualini forces fans to go through 10 years of Bennings BS of missed draft picks and getting fleeced in trades.

Blowing the lead in 2011 Cup finals against Boston.

Waiting to retire Bure's number only after he made the hockey hall of fame.

All 3 of them are probably related to things Jim Benning has said or done. My guess:

1) Forcing Green and the players talk to the team during the COVID breakout and Virtanen's sexual assault scandle.
2) Saying he wants players with "north american heart and European skill".
3) Tampering with Subban and Stamkos.

1) Gretzky calling the Devils a Mickey Mouse organization.

2) Signing Kovalchuck to an illegal 17 year contract (knowing it was illegal) only to have him terminate the contract a few years later. Are we still paying the fines on that?

3) 1/2 of an arena full of people letting everyone know the Flyers do something very disgusting on a nightly basis. I mean saying the Rangers suck is one thing bit to follow it up with a middle school level jab is really really embarrassing.
