Your Rebuild Opinion? Next Move Coming?

Our highest end prospects were Seider, Raymond and Edvinson. While we have other promising pieces, those three are our ‘high end’ guys. Time will tell if that’s enough to compete with other teams’ high end players.
No , it's no enough. we need like 3 or 4 more guys like that

Oh, so you agree, that Lindgren is the worst player on the list, but you wanna settle for him cuz it is better than nothing in your mind?
Worst in that list but by far best of the rest. Or would you rather go with Dumoulin, Ryan Suter or Cal DeHaan-types? And that list might get very short, very quickly. There just isn't many reasons for Gavrikov to sign with Wings and same with Provorov & Fabbro, take them off and what do you have left? Lindgren.

Ekblad is #1 target and then Lindgren. Lindgren knows his limits and knows his role, 27-years old in his prime.

I think the narrative was more like "Rangers dislike Miller's defensive abilites", which I am still not sold on. I want a security blanket for Mo, but Mo would be the security blanket for KAM. Difference to the stat quo is that Miller is actually capable offensively. So this could work. Still, I hope we do not have to trade in order to fix the defense.

If Stevie is really that interested in Lindgren as it was reported and in fact signs him on top of that, then I'll start to have serious doubts in terms of his roster planning.
I think Miller is a solid ‘Plan B’ to Gavrikov/Provorov and I would be happy and excited to add him to this group.

Yeah ok, in that scenario I'd also prefer Ekblad. But if we strike out on him too I'd swallow a bitter pill via trade or do nothing. Do we know what Lindgren would command?

I agree, the Wings need more. We are in wait and see mode with our prospects and thus probably trades as well. Yzerman’s FA prowess does not inspire confidence to get these types of players.

Things gonna look bleak if we miss out Ekblad, trade prices in the summer will be costly for top-4 D. So doing nothing might become reality.

Evolving Hockey has been good at guessing, their estimate 4.84 mil & 4 years. Kinda like what Chiarot got.

Gavrikov seems like the number one option for lots of Wings fan, I can't say I have seen much of him so him getting a big contract worries me but he seems highly regarded by most fan bases. Ekblad would be fine in my eyes but not at max term and if he is leaving Florida... why would he go to Detroit for 3-5 years? Having Mo, Simon and Johansson at least means there is a solid foundation for whoever they bring in and they wont need to do all the heavy lifting and be the #1.
The thing with Gavrikov is he really blossomed under McLellan in LA. So if he were to sign with Detroit he'd know exactly what to expect. I've heard his family supposedly loves LA, now the rumor is he wants to go to NYR. Seems to change every month or so.

He'd be a great fit, give Mo some help, improve our awful PK, and could slide down the lineup once Ed is ready to become Mo's partner and they dominate the league.

Just a perfect signing. Like I said, acquire his rights and then offer him the Chychrun contract. Money well spent.

I could get behind that.

Man, Ekblad is not coming to Detroit. We're not "missing out" on him, if there was never a chance he was coming here.

He wants to stay in Florida.
