Why does STL do that?Kyrou for #13 sounds ok to me.

I doubt we get a significant center back for Larkin. Byfield is probably the best case scenario in that regard.is it only cause of the Holland to l.a stuff why people are suddenly talking about larkin being moved?
La is the only team really I can see as being an option if we dealt larkin if the kings are fed up of being outed in the first round 4-5 yrs in a row and want to make a big move
And are willing to move byfield. Yzerman won’t deal him for picks etc..
Elias Peterrsson? Larkin doesn’t wave for Vancouver
Anaheim for a mctavish? Again , larkin likely doesn’t waive there unless he’s content in a similar situation elsewhere if only for the weather. But don’t see it
Carolina won’t trade aho. Dallas won’t trade Wyatt Johnston. Larkin for beniers +? Makes no sense for Seattle. 5’8 Rossi ? Pass
Maybe I’m missing something but byfield is the only option that literally makes sense if we’re looking for a Center back in a deal as we should
Utah might be an option for the #4 pick + if we come out with Caleb desnoyers. Again, does he waive for Utah?
Don’t think he’s going anywhere
Ya I’d want more than the #4 pick but I’d be happy with desnoyers who I think could end up being a futur Bergeron type player. Fans would go nuts though cause I doubt we’d have a shot at the post season but would give us better odds at a McKenna and I don’t think we’d be too far off from contending especially if we signed a connor next summer and got lucky with McKennaUtah is closer to the postseason so maybe Larkin would waive for them? Though the #4 is the only thing I’d want from them and this draft isn’t really too impressive to me. The #4 this year is probably only as good as the 8-12 in 2023 or 2024.
And I still argue that Byfield isn’t terrific as a center. Call me crazy but I like Rossi’s overall game and heads up play more than Byfield’s at center.

I wouldn’t hate byfield in a deal but ya there’s not many options for dealing larkin so unless Yzerman knows he can get something good for moving him just ignore the kid for nowI doubt we get a significant center back for Larkin. Byfield is probably the best case scenario in that regard.
Dylan Larkin doesn't scare anyone either.Ya I’d want more than the #4 pick but I’d be happy with desnoyers who I think could end up being a futur Bergeron type player. 2026-2027
Connor Kasper raymond
McKenna desnoyers nygard
Lots of ifs I know
As for byfield and Rossi I wouldn’t want a 5’8 Center especially #1 c if Larkin’s gone. Even if larkin stays can we go anywhere with kane Raymond Rossi debrincat on the top 6 ? That’s not a group that scares anyone
I don’t like his defensive reach or ability to take away time and space. If we acquire Rossi I hope it is to play wing.Utah is closer to the postseason so maybe Larkin would waive for them? Never said he did, no one wants a 5’8#1c for the playoffs thoughDylan Larkin doesn't scare anyone either.
Its a starter. I'm sure they want moreWhy does STL do that?

Hi! Wild fan here searching for what is going with Larkin, but seem to have stumbled on some Rossi discussion.For13 OA, absolutely, but we all know that isn't going to get it done. People need to start asking who exactly would want our 13OA pick? MN is too close to win now mode I suspect.
No one said he needs to be the #1 center. A Rossi addition is all about what it costs you ... not how tall he is.Never said he did, no one wants a 5’8#1c for the playoffs though
Cool ... players back then weren’t as big as they are now. Your not going anywhere now with 4 top 6 forwards 6 feet and under and 2 5’8 guysNo one said he needs to be the #1 center. A Rossi addition is all about what it costs you ... not how tall he is.
You cannot just look at team cumulative size in predicting a Stanley Cup winner.
Lots of small forwards have their names on the Stanley Cup. Henri Richard won more Cups than anyone ... 5'7''

If you can find a cup winner with that roster not from the 60s I’ll gladly say I was wrong
Hi! Wild fan here searching for what is going with Larkin, but seem to have stumbled on some Rossi discussion.
My personal opinion is that the Wild are looking for a hockey trade type of move for Rossi. Something like Peterka for Rossi. I doubt they would have much interest in a non top 10 draft pick. I could see them offering up Rossi++ for Larkin if he is available.
Leads me to my second point. What’s going on with Larkin and is he available for trade?
In his end of season availability with the media, Larkin made some comments indicating he is unhappy with the state of the rebuild and the fact the organization wasn’t active at the trade deadline. So there’s some speculation he may want to play for an organization that is further along and would be better positioned for playoff hockey.Leads me to my second point. What’s going on with Larkin and is he available for trade?
I've been spearheading this for about a month now. Love McTavish's game. Then how about McTavish + as a base?

Bingo. And I think that's a big part of Larkin's frustration with the rebuild. Personally, after watching him play in the Four Nations Cup, we'd be crazy to trade him for the sake of getting him out of town. Not to go too deep into it, but I think I have a bigger problem with the country club attitude of this front office. Yzerman’s pro scouting comments, the lack of progress from those within that department. Most of the staff are former Red Wings and I’m not sure they’re the best Red Wings he could have hired. (Maltby, Draper, Cleary, Fischer). The only two that seem to earn their keep are Lidstrom and Kronwall. Then we have Yzerman’s aggressive presser seeming very arrogant to me. He may not feel he’s on the hot seat because his contributions to the team 20-40 years ago, but he should.
Larkin has stuck around for 6 years being told we’d get better and that the team was going to be built around him only for Yzerman to get gun shy after 2023. Would DeBrincat even be a Red Wing if he didn’t force his way out? What would Yzerman have done if that move wasn’t there?
Maybe it’s not a lack of leadership from the players. Maybe the Wings ownership isn’t that great in the new NHL? And maybe our front office is f***ed up?
I’ll give you that. Didn’t have 2 5’8 guys in the top 6 though and gourde was on the 3rd line, point is 5’11 not 5’8 and has shown for a while he’s one of the best in the leagueYanni Gourde and Tyler Johnson on Tampa with Brayden Point as their top center at 5’10”. They were a pretty big team otherwise.
Liked him for a while as well , unfortunately can’t see Anaheim willing to part with him at this momentI've been spearheading this for about a month now. Love McTavish's game.
Never said I was against shorter players. Just don’t think we can have 4 on the top 6 and expect to win a cup on a yearly basisSo, again he's listed at 5'9 182. Lucas Raymond is listed 5'10 187. Pellikka 5'10 189, but that is generous if you've ever seen him. The NHL is all of 2 years removed of having Jonathon Marchessault as it's playoff MVP and Conn Smythe winner ... he's listed as shorter than Rossi.
