We all want our team to win the cup but what would be the absolute worst outcome for you as a fan.

I'm a Leafs fan, so the Leafs getting beat in the first round (again) while every other Canadian team advancing would be my worst case scenario. If the Sens or Habs win the cup, I would have to probably leave this site forever.

I root for the Bolts in the playoffs since they're my husband's team. My nightmare scenario would be them losing in the first round and then the finals being Toronto vs. Edmonton because the site would explode.

I think everyone will answer with their own version of "my team loses in round 1, and our rival wins the Cup".

For me, it's a Leafs loss in round 1 (which I don't think will happen) and a Cup win for any recent winner (Tampa, Colorado, Vegas, or Florida).

As a Flyers fan, most of the teams I hate are eliminated already. I suppose Florida winning again with The Rat on the team would be pretty stupid. After that, i'd prefer to not see the Devils win again. Sure it's been a while, but the pain from watching them win in 1995, 2000, and 2003 is still real.

I don't want this but it's not a nightmare scenario. But heres a very specific scenario that could be interesting:

Leafs make it to the SC finals. But who do they face? Its the St Louis Blues. The storylines shift from 1967 (not entirely but to a signicant degree) to Jordan Kryroom (who famously turned on the waterworks when aske by the media about him getting his coach fired) and his old nemesis, Craig Berube. Then it really becomes a bucket of cold water when Kryroom scores the series deciding goal, leaving Berube and the Leafs emptyhanded. If I'm a Leafs fan, I would not enjoy that.

I'd also not enjoy that as an Avs fan.
