Mercer is a key piece to the team long term.

Maybe it will help us fall a little less short of the playoffs this year (still likely won't make it) and will absolutely hurt us in the long run.

A new coach though, that would help. A different coach from the start of the year might have had this team in a playoff spot.

Maybe I agree with you

It depends on how good Mercer will turn out. But he's an inconsistent player right now.
