Should have just played him against the Jackets on Thursday, he couldn't have possibly hurt us or lost us that one.

Agreed. As the resident Blackwood apologist, he has looked terrible since coming back. Last game he had issues tracking routine wrist shots from distance. This could be a circus.

I don't think there's any chance Ruff gives him at least one playoff game, unless Vitek really craps out, particularly once the playoffs start, much like Keith Kinkaid in the first 2 games against Tampa in 2018.

But honestly, I don't know what the thinking was in playing him tonight but not Thursday.

It's almost like they knew he could KILL us in the Columbus game and that was a much more winnable game than this one, and the odds are still stacked against us to win this one even with Vitek in there. But I know coaches don't really actually think like that. Us fans just think they do or wish that they do, or try to rationalize that they do. Especially in circumstances like this current one.
