What a joke

Should have just played him against the Jackets on Thursday, he couldn't have possibly hurt us or lost us that one.

Unless he allowed a goal earlier before we ran away with it and it completely changed the complexion of the game.

Maybe Lindy's afraid of playing the Panthers or Islanders?

Maybe they just figure there's a better chance of us losing this one no matter who is in net than a game like the Blue Jackets, where he could potentially lose us?

Would you rather:
A. Blackwood play out of his mind tonight and another one of our last two games, convincing Ruff to start him in at least one playoff game.

OR

B. Blackwood absolutely shits the bed on national television, Devils get blown the f*** out, Blackwood has just played his last game as a Devil.

Agreed. As the resident Blackwood apologist, he has looked terrible since coming back. Last game he had issues tracking routine wrist shots from distance. This could be a circus.

If this is only way that this is Blackwood's last game as a Devil? I'm fine with him getting bombed.

BUT ONLY IF IT'S GUARANTEED THAT THIS IS THE END!

I don't think there's any chance Ruff gives him at least one playoff game, unless Vitek really craps out, particularly once the playoffs start, much like Keith Kinkaid in the first 2 games against Tampa in 2018.

But honestly, I don't know what the thinking was in playing him tonight but not Thursday.

It's almost like they knew he could KILL us in the Columbus game and that was a much more winnable game than this one, and the odds are still stacked against us to win this one even with Vitek in there. But I know coaches don't really actually think like that. Us fans just think they do or wish that they do, or try to rationalize that they do. Especially in circumstances like this current one.

You know B is never going to happen. He'll get embarassed and still get more games...you know, like what's been happening already.
