That's the thing that Bruins fans fail to comprehend at this point - The reason for the success this year is because their #1 an #2 centers are making 3M combined.

It's so ridiculous that I'm surprised the NHLPA didn't step in. Now that the head of NHLPA is a crayon eating moron, there's no chance of that.

If I was a GM with a #1 center up for a contract I would use Bergeron's salary as a comp

They aren’t make 3m. They’re both have +35 contracts so they can have performance bonuses.

They both qualified for their bonuses, Bergeron makes 2.5m with a 2.5m bonus, so 5m, and Krejci makes 1m with 2m bonus, so 3m.

The bonuses structure did help this year but I might cause problems next season (I always forget how performance bonuses work).

Correct - Those bonuses don't kick in until next year and still. Bergeron and Krecji for 8M combined
