That play on the Caps 5th goal is absurd. Can’t happen.
It’s all Jack (and partially Dougie in not lifting Stromes stick)

Bratt’s psychologist maybe?Jack is afraid of contact on so many plays it’s impacting his effectiveness
Feels like the depth has done most of the heavy lifting offensively since the start of the season.
Honestly it’s also Bratt. No idea why he passed the puck to Jack at the blue line there. Unnecessary and dangerous play. It’s all Jack (and partially Dougie in not lifting Stromes stick)
Did Casey royally f*** up the first period enough to only get one shift in the second?
What’s surprising about this? They’ve done this multiple times for multiple games now?No, for some reason he just didn't get ice time from the start
I seriously thought he was scratched this game
That fifth goal was completely avoidable if Jack decides not to do literally the most irresponsible thing possible in trying to make a f***ing drop pass in his own zone.
I’m sorry but he could be Gretzky and I’d still want him benched for that garbage, it’s so boneheaded and unacceptable. Like it shouldn’t even be an option to ever f***ing consider in the nhl. Just disgusting.
They look sloppy defensively because they’re on the back foot the whole game and the offense can’t sustain pressure. The game is being dictated by Washington, which is forcing eventual defensive errors. They are losing because they have been extremely defensively sloppy.
Bratt did a drop pass to Jack at the blue line there no?That fifth goal was completely avoidable if Jack decides not to do literally the most irresponsible thing possible in trying to make a f***ing drop pass in his own zone.

He’s just raging and has no clue what he’s talking about.Bratt did a drop pass to Jack at the blue line there no?

And that’s what makes their start to the season such a house of cards. No way Cotter, Haula, and Noesen et al. continue at that pace.Feels like the depth has done most of the heavy lifting offensively since the start of the season.
Making a four foot back pass inside the blueline is so badTechnically it was Bratt who dropped it back
He’s shown it but not nearly consistently enough for someone who’s apparently supposed to be a top forward in the league.I don’t even care to look for or mention anyone although Wayne Gretzky himself wasn’t far off that. Wasn’t very strong or anything.
But again what is your argument here when we have seen Jack dominate at the NHL level? Do you deny that he has shown that before?
Depth across the board. Top 6 and bottom 6. It’s all way too shallow.Feels like the depth has done most of the heavy lifting offensively since the start of the season.
They’re being outskated and Washington is dictating the entire pace of the game. Goes beyond puck decisions and defense.Team has been loosey goosey sloppy with the puck. That's the story.
I agree and unless you’re a super duper pessimist, there’s probably no way Nico, Jack, Bratt, Dougie and Timo don’t pick up another level eventually. It should all balance out in the end.And that’s what makes their start to the season such a house of cards. No way Cotter, Haula, and Noesen et al. continue at that pace.
They benched him in games they were leading by 1 and 2 at Ottawa and at Washington. Benching your least trusted defender when you’re trying to hold onto a lead is one thing…benching your second best offensive D when you’ve been down two for half the game is weird. What’s surprising about this? They’ve done this multiple times for multiple games now?
