Mercer has looked good when he has had extended time in the top 6 this year. He isn’t a play driver at this stage of his career, but he is a guy who can be the third forward in the top 6 of a good team. That isn’t a guy you move out.

I don’t think they move him (I think Sharangovich is the guy they move).

L. Hughes & Mercer are completely off limits. I could live with trading Nemec for Meier if he comes with an extension already agreed. I'd also add next to nothing on top of Nemec, zero chance they're getting a first round pick or another top prospect if he's in the deal.
