It absolutely is not fine for your top paid forward to be performing this poorly.

Can't play with either of our top 2 centres and is on pace to barely squeak 20 goals, hell he might not even hit 20....
Thing with Timo is he is playing pretty well, just can't finish worth a damn. I thought he was one of our better fwd's tonight(low bar but).

Justin f***ing Dowling has played 38 games for us so far and is now our 3C lol.

Also congrats to Luke to topping this chart:

Luke was bad tonight from the in arena eyetest.

Own goal for goal 1 and was largely responsible for goal number 2 (bad puck management / breakout fail, and then the guy he was covering tipped the actual goal in, thought).

Gotta just throw the tape away, but hope he figures out how to not have a game like that again anytime soon

He was but it was probably because Nemec was a disaster.

I don't care about "wins since an arbitrary date". Just like I dont care about "The Isles won 7 in a row and we cant!" mind you they are still 10 points behind us. Like I said, were you in here crowning them the 2-3 weeks before that when they looked unbeatable? Probably not.

All that matters now is

1) get healthy
2) bring in reinforcements at the deadline

That is literally it.

Ridiculous.
Effort. Win pucks. Play consistent hockey, winning battles and completing passes.

The hand waving about 'getting healthy' is just stupid. It's possible that nobody is coming back, or if they do they could be less effective. And it wouldn't matter. This team played badly with Siegs, Markstrom, and Nico, and if they played the same it wouldn't matter if all those guys came back tomorrow.

This team should be able to play better than what we've seen for the last 17 games without any reinforcements too.

All that matters is:
Fixing what's currently broken in these players heads and getting them to play up to their potential. They're good enough THEN, with or without the injured players.

They're just not consistent.

I saw it exactly that way in person.

This game was nothing like the last month. Lumping it all together is nonsense.

I am not enjoying the fact that we are looking back at Columbus.

Rantanen could very well be Carolina's Meier.

Eh, I like the idea of new teams making the playoffs.

Some Metro team or teams are going to show a pulse at some point.

That said, they just lost Marchenko long term, that’s a big loss on top of Monahan being out. And both Werenski and Fabbri are banged up, though Werenski might already be back.

If he doesn't score 5 in the remaining 20-25 ish games then you just chalk it to an awful season production wise. He's shooting at 9.6% this year when his average has been 12-13%. Come on, dude. It doesn't take a math major to realize he's been a shitty finisher this year in a career where he's been tremendous at that aspect of his game.

I'm not so sure the GM will be happy to write off this season after paying him $10mil this year....
