Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Being 2 points behind them going into the break would be kinda insane with what's transpired since Christmas and them adding Rantanen. Being tied would be even funnier somehow if we win and they lose to Utah on Saturday afternoon

They were mediocre with Nico for a few weeks too, that's the whole issue from the doomers point of view as well. But yes, they're even more cooked without him
I agree to a certain extent but they can give more than this. Tonight's game is not because Nico wasn't there.
Are you #VeryConcerned about Carolina? Rantanen not looking like a good fit so far and he’s a free agent. Traded their top scorer to get him. I fear they’re in deep trouble. Shutout again. A contender would not be toiling around .500 since late November.
I mean they have been destroyed by injuries post Christmas, most teams would go on a downslope like they have but pre to those injuries happening doesn't help their case either or allow them to get the benefit of the doubt.
We talk about the bottom 6 and yes they aren’t very good. But the top line was on for every goal against again tonight. Oh and Timo xG Meier had 0 shots.
Its just reality. We currently are built where we need our 1C and 2C doing the heavy lifting. If one are out, they simply don’t have the pieces to overcome it.
Fitz should be able to find one or two upgrades but the point still remains. This team runs on Nico Jack combo. They need to be healthy to do anything.
Unfortunately their safety blanket was their D corps. With Siegs out, we have even more issues
I definitely think the illness/virus absolutely impacted their play also. That was an unfortunate series of events.
The California trip still makes me kinda mad though.

This doesn’t take away the obvious point I am making. This team runs on those two being healthy. Folks think that was bad, oho, just imagine the entire season with one of those guys out. We wouldn’t have 66 pts right now.
Bigger picture is they weren't playing good hockey at full strength. Sure the virus showed up after than and some injuries, but back from the break/the new year shouldn't have been as bad.
Plus Haula hasn't been Haula this year, even when he's been healthy, so we basically have 1 good center right now. Which makes the decision to not bring in another center this offseason hurt even more. Granted, I don't know who that would have been, or if it would have even been feasible given the cap.
Yeah and they aren’t going to rebound from that/this stretch if Nico is out.
Only way this gets turned back is Nico and Jack being healthy and the team finding their game again.
We are not doing that with Jack Haula Dowling down the center

Destroy the tape from tonight. Win on Saturday, everyone but Hughes, Haula, and Bratt gets a 2 week break, hopefully Nico returns, hopefully Luke finds a second wind, and the Devils figure out the neutral zone.
Doesn't explain getting completely dominated tonight.
Would've loved Jack, Bratt and Haula to have had a break. At the same time, it keeps them active, no rust.
