And like clockwork, after every loss, there is a miniature civil war between those who are understanding of how a game like this may have played out in the midst of a long season and those who want to either treat each loss like the end of the world while simultaneously beat their chest about how they identified these problems well before this and labeling any time an explanation is provided as “excuse making”.

This same exact discussion was going on last week before we won our next two games. I really do not want to be someone who tries to tell someone how to be a fan, but it has to be exhausting to be so distraught at every loss over an 82 game season. Be my guest, you do you. But it shouldn’t be shocking that people get fed up with that. Say what you want about the “Baghdad Bob” types, but most are simply not trying to let game-by-game results dictate their opinion on the team.

I already know I’ll take my lumps here as a more optimistic fan. But I’d much rather be in that boat.

Lot of opinions on what's wrong ....Hopefully they are getting healthy and that will help some of what is wrong....Get back to team defense better passing and need top guys like Timo to get on a goal scoring streak...Like his game but he has to produce more

I was literally at the game last night. It was a better experience there than reading this thread afterwards lmao. Some of y’all need to go outside after a tough loss and collect yourselves. Go touch the grass, go on the beach.

Yeah but you were probably in an all you can eat and drink section and participating in Eagles chants all night so I'm not sure how much we can trust your opinion on this one!

Or you could say it’s a civil war between venters and posters with a constant need to police others, it’s all a matter of perspective. It’s fine to be optimistic but it’s stupid when people try to win the narrative and look for gotchas from other fans, I swear some of you (not you specifically) are more intent on winning the thoughts and feelings war than this team is on getting out of its malaise.

Yes there are drive by doomers and chronic complainers but not every single complaint or complainer fits neatly in that box and there’s no point even engaging those people to begin with. The pollyannas who never see anything wrong can be just as bad the other way, especially since it’s not usually the doomers picking fights with everyone else here.

Yeah I’m not sure where THAT comment came from lol, if anything I was gonna say sure you had no problems - the home team won and they were still in a good mood from the Eagles making the SB, if there was ever a day to deal with the Philly fan…

This lmao, I was thinking Sunday if the Eagles lost, I may have issues Monday

Luckily, I have been to 8 Devils gm at Wells Fargo since 2009, even playoffs. Never had an issue. If you are not a jackass its fine

I was given last row tickets by my rep, doing dry January, and a Giants fan, so I am offended by this lmao.

Fitz needs to get a third line center asap. Unless, Fitz is happy with this team the way it is. Maybe he figures this team isn’t going far in the playoffs, especially with what Carolina did, because I don’t see us beating them. They got a beast in a great trade. If they get decent goaltending they should be the favorites to win it all in my opinion.

I'm just busting chops lol
I must say, I like the renovations they did at that arena. It looks good. Of course they will demo it in 5 years after spending X millions lmao

I need to make a “Bleed bat sign” for @ZachaFlockaFlame when it comes to this topic lmao

I used to go to every road game there but once HD came out I stopped traveling to as many road games. It won't happen but if they ever added away fan sections I'd go to so many more games. My tolerance for dealing with other fans has become 0 over the years and it wasn't ever high to being with lol

Mercer at 36.9% xG at 5 on 5 tonight. I get he is primarily a winger now, but he is a guy who has to be able to step in at center when needed and he just can’t.

Pretty much all of problems right now have to do with depth down the middle being hollowed out. I would venture to guess a big part of Luke and Pesce’s step back this month is finding themselves on ice with weaker centers more.

The center issue is primarily on Fitz for not managing the McLeod situation right, but Mercer not being able to pinch hit in the middle is a big part of that.

Speaking of McLeod, how is it that this situation is still not resolved?
