Faceoffs are just another puck battle, rarely do goals happen straight off the faceoffs like tonight. No one says those goals don't happen but they're rare. Always a weird gotcha with this argument, they only matter on the powerplay and empty net situations.

We need to do something or playoffs won’t even be there for us. Adding a bottom 6 player isn’t going to cut it if Nico is hurt fur any amount of time. Adding Millwr pushes someone down the lineup where they should be

Fair concern but I dont think theres one player available who can replace what Nico does to this team. If he is out for extended amount of time, Fitz and co need to rethink this season.

I wouldnt take Miller for free, let alone pay assets to get him. Good player but he will be a headache sooner or later and has long term contract. But he wants to play only for NYR anyway I think.

It's not that the individual faceoffs themselves don't matter. If a team was winning 100% or 0% that'd likely be pretty big. When every team is falling between like 45-55% though the importance people put on faceoffs is overblown and the research has shown faceoffs don't impact results.

It wasn’t rare tonight. They had around 8 clean puck retrievals to the point late in periods
