The guy wasn’t quite there yet and there was a ton of space. He doesn’t need some crazy pivot or anything crazy at all. One stride to the middle and stuff can open up. Brendan Smith could’ve done it. The guy closer on the boards is probably immediately more open. Maybe someone is back and open through the middle. Not suggesting he should’ve done anything risky whatsoever. He should be handle a little bit of pressure from one guy for a couple seconds with lots of space.agree to disagree. There was a guy on him, he's at the end of the period. No need to try to skate it into trouble by some crazy pivot. He did the right thing.
Regardless we’re talking about one play where I think he could’ve found a better play but it’s theme I keep seeing lately.
