I don't think he's as bad as Vitek last year, but we're getting there.

The difference between him and Vitek right now is that Vitek had a solid season here.

Markstrom is having a pedestrian season in his lone season here so far.

The difference between 22-23/24-25 and 23-24 is the defense. When Vitek got some help defensively in 22-23 he was clearly better than Markstrom's been this year.

This game is 99% on Markstrom. The other 1% is you cannot give AUSTON f***ING MATTHEWS 4 BREAKAWAYS IN A GAME. The one time he doesn't miss the net he scores

Incredibly horrible PPs are also a big factor.

These losses are far less annoying when the team has built up a nice cushion of points. They’re devastating when you desperately need a W.
