I've pumped Foote's tires before and I definitely don't just think he's up because of his last name. I think he's a lot more of an NHL style player than a lot of the Utica guys we've seen, from Willman to Dawling.

But yeah, his last showing was not very good and he needs to do more with the opportunity. This is probably the last go with NJ. He'll probably get another shot elsewhere because of his dad but it's now or never for the big time.

Dowling can skate and play some defense. That's all I need for "NHL style" when it comes to fill in guys. Bowers is doing that too. Foote doesn't provide either of that.

St. Louis has won against the Stars, Leafs twice, Canes, Lightning and Rangers so far this year. They're not that bad of a team. Entirely possible to lose against them tonight. The team looks good though so 1 loss won't change how I feel about the group since the Detroit game.

That's loser talk. On the other hand they've lost to the Habs, Sens, Flyers, Isles and have a 47% xG. They suck. Go smoke them.

Not loser talk, just kinda weirded out how every single game seems to be this must win game and a single loss is seen as a representation of the team. Of course I want them to win and they should win, I believe we have a better team.

We need to go on a heater so @Better Call Sal has to keep making GDT with this dumb movie (which I admittedly never saw).

I’m really scraping the barrel for gifs to the point I’m making my own from YouTube clips.

It is certainly a dumb movie in a lot of respects, but I’ve grown to appreciate it again watching it with my oldest boy. And honestly, it has plenty of moments that make me laugh out loud as an adult. You can do worse for an hour and a half. :). The love story is sweet too #hopelessromantic.

Yeah I’m expecting this to be a close one tonight. Blues are not as slow and plodding as the Preds are and have some good talent in spots up front. Feeling a 3-2, 4-3 kinda game

Not too sure where this over the top Foote hate is coming from. I don't think he's a great player or anything but I don't think he's been as bad as people have said here. :dunno:
I think he has been as bad as people have said he's been, but only this year and what's he played? 2 games?

He's been good in the past years in call ups and he's not MacDermid, so I can't complain too much about him being in.

But I did think he was pretty bad in the 2 games he played or at least the last game. Historically he's been a fine call up at the NHL level though.

I was a bit of a Footie Pajama Truther, before he missed most of last season, but that was a big blow to his development.

I’m not thrilled that he only got 12 games in Utica before his current call-up but they didn’t have much else to choose from.

Utica forwards have either been dealing with injuries (Beckman, Hardman) or not scoring (just about everyone else).

A lot of Foote’s 9 pts (4G 5A) in 12 GP was on the PP (2 PPG 4 PPA) so he wasn’t a exactly a great call-up candidate but Halonen was the only other guy with any scoring when it happened.

And Halonen had 7 pts (5G 2A) in 13 GP, but with only 1 EV goal (plus 3 PPG & 1 SHG) and 1 EV assist (plus 1 PPA).
