Your Favorite Goalie Save of All-Time

Most of the best saves are ordinary looking. Good positioning, good preparation. good anticipation. Not spectacular.

Some are spectacular - and spectacular-looking, though.

Some of each.

So many saves to choose from. I think Fleury's save in 2009 has got to be the #1 save of all-time. I mean, Game 7 of the Cup final, the dying seconds, a desperate save to win the Cup just as the horn is going. You literally can't top that. Nothing is more dramatic than that.

I'll mention one that hasn't been said yet because I think it was the start of one of the greatest 2 or 3 upsets of all-time. Bobrovsky robbing Kucherov blind. This is Game 1. If the Bolts score the game is 4-0. Instead the game stays 3-0 and Columbus comes back and wins. The Bolts never mentally recovered I don't think. And this save often gets forgotten. What's great about this is that no one at the time thought this save meant anything. I don't think anyone thought this was a turning point. I know I still assumed the Bolts would steamroll Columbus.

Lundqvist save VS Finland in the Olympic final with 30 seconds left (1:50 in this video).

I remember watching this game with my cousin and it we just knew Finland was going to score- and then they didn't. I remember it as an incredible save so it's weird looking at this clip and the announcers barely react because the puck is still in the zone and the game is not over. Now when people talk about this game it feels like everything is about the 3-2 goal (Lidstrom from Sundin and Forsberg) but I felt this save should be remembered just as much.

I think this one might be "underrated" and "fly under the radar" because they lost the series, but in Game 5 of the 95 Western Conference Finals Eddie Belfour absolutely ROBBED Sergei Fedorov of a goal which I still remember well!
