There’s nothing suggesting Voronkov is better or more impactful than Marchenko right now
  1. He can play center.
  2. He can play in PK.
  3. He is better in defense.
  4. He has very good hockey vision, skill too.
Yes, he is not ideal now but was playing after injury, one needs a time to return his shape.

Until he’s shown it on a consistent basis, Marchenko is a much more proven and effective player

Chinakhov is the best from Russians. Next is Voronkov. Only third Marchenko, I think.
If you're saying he has the potential I agree. If he can get to that consistent 45-60pt range than I would agree. But Marchenko brings something to the locker room that I don't think Voronkov brings that can't be discounted too.

I'm just glad we have them all. I could see them being extremely beneficial if guys like Ivanov, Dolzy and Makarov make their way over in due time as well.

I'm more surprised that Jordan Staal is still in the NHL than having Vronk ahead of Marchenko lol. I love Vronk, but...

Chinakov is obviously awesome.

They’re all different players and hard to compare really. Chinakhov is the better scorer and overall player than Marchenko, IMO.

Voronkov brings things to the ice that neither of the other guys can bring, mostly around the net. Voronkov’s actual skill and offensive ability shouldn’t be downplayed either. He’s never going to beat Marchenko in a foot race, and he very well might not score more goals and points than him, but, that doesn’t mean he can’t make as big or bigger of an impact.

He’s among the absolute best in the NHL in both skating and shot departments

When Chinny is flying, he's one of the most fun players on the team to watch. I think he needs to hit the net more but my god can he fire it. A harder wrister than most guys slapshots.

Why is there no room on PP1 for a guy who shoots like that ?
Well, Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko are excellent shooters, then you have Monahan or Voronkov up front and Werenski as QB

Chinakhov does get some PP1 time and is usually on the right side at the blue line

Just read AP's latest article talking anonymously with three scouts (from other teams) about our young stars. The comp for Chinny was Michael Grabner. I am not great at coming up with comps myself but this one seems pretty accurate. FTR, one of the scouts said Grabner but with a better shot and the other simply said Grabner.

Now going on to read about our other young stars.

Is he gonna be back anytime soon? Missed alot of time for never really disclosing the injury.
