Pettersson's production started slipping in mid January around 15-20 games before he signed his extension. So you can quit repeating this false narrative. If he only cared about the money his game would have been peaking right before signing, but that is not what happened. The exact opposite happened, which actually suggests his bad play was for literally any other reason besides "he got payed"

Yeh if he didn’t fall off the face of the earth at the exact moment of extension, he at the very least didn’t pull up his boot straps and go to work to meet the expectations of that contract. Which is pretty much the same thing.

Is it the weight of the contract or maybe JT milller being a big meanie. Either way, he doesn’t have the ability to overcome it and start earning it.
