Before I thought Seguin had virtually no chance but now that I saw those guys talk about Seguin, I'm thinking he may make the team.

As much as the Canadians ***** about their World Junior selection process team USA needs to look at their Olympic search committee because trying to grind it out with Brown and Callahan is only going to lead to an early exit.

That's exactly how I felt about Ott.

It's because he operates at three-quarters speed most of the time. If you don't watch him regularly you might not see his extra gear when he senses an opportunity or needs to catch someone on the backcheck.

That and its the typical "he's big and he's a power forward so he's slow" misconception. Most people never guys like Lindros Messier or Jagr their proper due when it came to speed and Benn's the same. I've had the argument with my bro in-law over and over the last few months about him. No matter what I say, "Theyre gonna go for guys who can skate on the big ice." So yeah, I guess thats not Benn

It's good to hear that Seguin is in fact getting some consideration. I doubt he makes it but how sweet would it be if both Benn and Seguin make it? Very if you ask me!

Burnside's article about Team USA was one of the best I've seen in a while. It's a shame Team USA is back tracking and acting like fools. We'll never get to see that access again. My point about that though is we got to see how much the coach's influenced Oshie making the team over Saad and Ryan. I wonder if the Canadians will give Babcock that much weight in player evaluation ... hopefully.

Yeah Team Canada brass takes coach's opinion and evaluation in to consideration for sure.

TSN says with the information they currently have Benn is as of now on the team. Seguin is not in the picture anymore. There are two other left wings fighting for position, Chris Kunitz and Patrick Marleau. As of now they are taking five rights (Including centres who will play right) and five centres, so if Benn makes this team it will almost for sure be him taking a regular shift.

Massive congrats to Nuke. That's absolutely incredible. Our 18 year old rookie, Russian prodigy that several teams passed on- Will be going to the Olympics in his first NHL season. Amazing.

Really surprised to see Benn get the call after a horrible couple of months. I honestly don't think he deserved the call, but he'll make his presence felt in the Olympics for sure. He'll do great.
