>"player x is injured"

>can't trust my assistant coach to do the lines because he'll put good players through waivers

>go through my lines editing everything

>five minutes

>sim three days

>"player x is available to play"

repeat all season long for multiple players

Yup  Not sure what EA was thinking.

And I thought you were being sarcastic! Baertschi, Kane, Yakupov, Toews, Hamilton...holy ****.

:amazed:

i looked at the upcoming free agents yesterday and it looked like a bad crop.

where were they hiding these players from me?

also, the islanders trading block is up.

centers:

josh bailey (25 yrs, 3.5 gold *, 79 ov, 1*1.970 mil)

left wing:

none.

right wing:

rhett rakhshani (27 yrs, 3.5 grey *, 81 ov, 3*2,655)

defense:

dustin byfuglien (30 yrs, 4 grey *, 87 ov, 1*6.465)

g:

michael hutchinson (25 yrs, 3 gold *, 81 ov, rfa)
chris carrozzi (25 yrs, 3.5 gold *, 80 ov, rfa)

and maybe johnathan bernier (26 yrs, 4 gold *, 85 ov, 1*5.510), depending on how things go.

remember, anyone is available for the right price.

my needs: second line rw, first line lw, 2nd pair defensemen, prospects in every position.

So i'm in desparate need of a star winger, and I am putting a ton of players on the block:

Pacioretty - 84 ovr / 26 yo / 5.6 mil salary / 4 stars gold / LW

Etem - 75 / 23 / 950k / 4.5 stars gold / RW

Johansson - 81 / 24 / 1.7 / 4 stars gold / C

Leblanc - 80 / 26 / 790k / 3.5 stars gold / C

Lander - 80 / 24 / 1.15 / 3.5 stars gold / C

Tedenby - 81 / 25 / 1.25 / 3 star gold / LW

Whitney - 85 / 32 / 5.45 / 4 star white / D

All draft picks

Reading an interview with some guys from EA... here's what they had to say about the injury problem in GM mode:

Question:

Injuries are a huge issue in our league, especially when we sim games. It seems like players go down very easily whenever we have to sim games, versus when we play our games. Are injuries going to be the same level in NHL 14?

Gurndeep:

In reality, the actual simmed version of it is actually one to one to the NHL, the amount of injuries and how often they occur. I’ve done the analysis on man games lost, I actually used less than actual man games lost in real life… It just hits home a little bit more when it’s “your guyâ€. Because everything is in games, it seems that much worse.

damn. i tried hard for jones and monahan. should have given them one way contracts with more money just so they would sign. they would have stayed rfa's and i had he cap space...

i guess that is how the pros play...

****, what did you offer the prospects? Max 2-way contracts, or did you give them 1-ways?

Most of them were unsigned after being draft. Could only give out ELC to Jones, Monahan etc.

I just offered max 2-way and got lucky.

Also, Philly had no cap space for Yakupov and no one else made an offer on him. So i got him for 3 years at 5.4mil. He's 87 overall. Only lost a 1st and 3rd.

I was thinking you just got lucky. Joider and I both sent offers to those prospects and so did others. Incredibly stupid that you got everyone...

Karlsson, Yakupov, Jones, Monahan, and others.. Can you say RIGGED? :sarcasm:;):sarcasm:;):sarcasm:;) This is fully sarcastic

Also I meant Okposo not Foligno lol

CPU trade:

Okposo (84 ovr, 5.1M/1yr, 27 y/o)
Haddad (79 ovr, 3*, 1.9M/1yr, 26 y/o)

FOR

Ristolainen (61 ovr, 4*, 0.525M/1yr, 20 y/o)

Ottawa gets a top 6 W and a bottom 6 W since they only have 2 wingers over 80 ovr, and I get a decent prospect with a long wait time until NHL ready.

Agreed. So unrealistic.

We're those CPU teams that didn't sign all their guys to ELC's, or do we have someone that hasn't been active?

We all know the computer ai is stupid as hell, but I've never seen them not sign their guys to rookie contracts.

Also, just throwing out feelers here for the basis of this trade below ad I have no idea if its fair or not.

To PHX:
Ovechkin - 94 overall, 29 years old, 10.5 mil salary

To PIT:
Pacioretty - 84 overall, 26, ~5 mil, 4 stars gold
Whitney - 85 overall, 32, ~5 mil, 4 stars white
Etem - 75 overall, 23, ELC, 4.5 stars gold
1st round pick

I need a star winger, and I'm giving up some good pieces. I finished around 5th in the league, and Pit was around 15th so I'm not taking Ovie from a contender or anything.

Whitney was a must to get the salaries closer, but he still has 4-5 more years as a good d-man.
