Didn't know him before last week but he impressed me during rookie games and skating looks good... . The way he buzzed around the zone and crash the crease reminds me of a poor/tinier/prettier version of Marchand.

When you're Simoneau's size, good skating usually doesn't cut it. He's a good player, but he has to take the DD route to the show. Buzzing around in rookie games is a non-event.

I think he has a actual shot at the NHL, but at the very least this guy is always at 120% and that how you want everyone to play and if this guy is on your team it will be hard to sit on your skills, I think is attitude has to rub of on other at
Even if he doesn't make the NHL, he's gonna be great for the culture in Laval and make a great environment for our prospect to develop

His skating is quite bad, the only positive is that he has remarkable strength and balance but he is slow and incredibly inefficient

yeah. Kirby has been 6’4 since he’s like 16, i don’t think he got smaller with age

Gallagher was listed 5’10

But we will probably see today
No way Gally is 5'10 just no way.
Anyhow, we are looking ahead to being bigger and faster, and the next couple of years should be fun for the guys development.....
Onwards, and upwards....

The pre-season sparks were no joke Simoneau will play in the NHL the question is how many games? Great start to his pro career.

Laval Rocket forward Xavier Simoneau was able to steal the puck from Toronto Marlies giant Curtis Douglas to set up Lucas Condotta for Laval's second goal.

Simoneau is 5 feet 7 inches tall and Douglas is 1 foot 2 inches taller.

Very impressive!
