That Sask/Edmonton game was hard to watch. Two bad teams slugging it out. The Riders were just slightly worse at being bad.

I hope they play more than O'Shea usually does. He rests them at the end of the season plus bye weeks every year and they show up to the playoffs flat. I also think the slow start this year had a lot to do with the vets getting litte to no playing time in the pre season. Play the damn games to win. That's the job.

So with the Sask win yesterday Bombers haven't clinched. So next game is all out go.

If the Bombers win (or tie) or Sask loses (or tie) next week then is when it becomes interesting. After Toronto, the schedule is...

Gotta play at least 3 quarters of serious football against MTL. That's a lot of time off. They need to keep that killer instinct they have had the past fee weeks going. Half assing it will just create bad habits.

Bombers brought in former Als LB Bryce Notree. With Biggie done, Ayers banged up, and Cole struggling it makes sense. Just PR for now though.

They also added an OL prospect in Chris Walker while releasing QB Darren Grainger and DL Brandon Wright. Neither of latter players dressed for a regular season game with the Bombers after being added to the PR in September.

American ST LBer is a staple on Mike O'Shea's roster. I don't think we've seen a roster without one since at least 2019. I've found the insistence on that role...odd. But it's consistent.

Nope. Very few teams have a ST only American LB. Most carry an extra DE who rotates in, or an extra WR. Sometimes they have rotational on D LB, DBs but not ST only. Alot of teams need to hold backup American RB as well, so don't have the opportunities Bombers do to do this, but it's just an odd spot. A couple of the ST only LB's have grown out of the role (Cole for example) but some haven't and just get replaced.
