Prospect Info: Wyatt Kaiser - D - 2020 81st Overall

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I don't see the rush to signing him this summer. His offense still needs developing and maybe confidence or skill with the puck. I would rather he stay in college than try to still find an offensive skill as a 19 year old in the AHL who may be thrown into a defensive role because he's already good at that and not even get any PP time.

always get a little worried with these college guys going ufa (long way out) but maybe it's just not a concern...i get what you're saying about development

UMD plays Frozen Four semi-finals tonight against(Konroyd pronunciation) UMASS . Check your local listings but I believe it to be an 8 pm CST start time.

So Kaiser can join Mitchell, Beaudin, Kalynuk, Galvas, Regula, Vlasic, Allan and Crevier to play for what the 6th dman spot?
1-3 Seth Jones, Connor Murphy, Jake McCabe
4 and 5 Caleb Jones, Riley Stillman

Decisions will have to be made

And it starts with moving deHaan and Gustafsson

I get rid of McCabe (for sure), Caleb Jones and Murphy. Goes without saying Gus and DeHaan. All of these guys are at best 4-7 D.

Article on Kaiser by Powers.
“It’s kind of been two years of discovery, failure … take a few steps back and kind of always find where I can play. I think I can impose my will on a game with my skating and kind of getting to that confidence of you’re just like, in terms of better, just f— it, skate like if it happened. It’s kind of like in the rookie tournament where it’s like I impose my will, beat guys, make plays. Like when I have the puck, I control it. So I’ve been going over the last two years to find that where it’s not too much, but it’s enough. It’s find when to play simple, when not to. Just trying to roll on that train and now that it’s clicking a little bit, continue to try to get better and better.”
