I know LA Knight is super over but isn't that stat misleading? The Bloodline stuff was on the show, so isn't there less of a reason to watch it online?

Just you guys watch, they're going to give L.A. Knight the U.S. title aka where careers go to die and he's going to fizzle off. Vince knows what to do to stop this guy's momentum.

Nobody gets over/stays over with the U.S. title. Nobody gives a f*** about that title.

HHH's WWE has given mid card titles shine. Issue is HHH clearly doesn't like Theory so it doesn't get featured as much as the IC title does

I agree re: Intercontinental title. However, the U.S. title has always been for throwaway storylines. I hope L.A. Knight doesn't go for that title but I fear that's Vince's way of cooling him off.

Vince was backstage on Friday, LA Knight had no chance getting on TV. Can’t have guys get over on their own around that old f***.

“For those who have asked about whether Vince McMahon made any major changes to tonight's taping, we are told that he did not and any changes were minimal as the original plans for the show stayed basically intact with the exception of some time cuts.”

I knew you’d come swooping in instantly.

It’s like calling a dog for his dinner. “Say something not nice about Vince!”

HHH is the overall head of creative. The product is by and large his. Vince makes suggestions and sometimes forces changes. A handful of shows there were major changes to the individual show by Vince. Most cases it's minor or never happens and the long term booking remained entirely the same (whatever got cut ended up happening the following week).

Vince sucks, it would suck if he took back control of creative, but as of right now he doesnt run creative. Not one backstage source claims he is running creative or canceling pushes, or whatever conspiracy theory of the week being subscribed to.

The IWC's constant fear that Vince is under the bed is weird and childish.

If LA Knight wasn't on a show, more then likely it's because HHH didn't book him and HHH is in fact not an infallible booker

Great thing about 2023 is we have multiple options to watch. If you think WWE is making bad creative choices, you got multiple AEW shows to fill the void

Why is it weird and childish? This is the same man who spit in the faces of wrestling fans for damn near 25 years and as soon as he was ousted, the product took off.

There is a reason wrestling fans want this guy nowhere near actual wrestling.

When Vince was at the helm, LA Knight was called up to the main roster, renamed Max Dupri and was set to become a manager to those nerds. He looked like a complete f***ing dork having to force down that brutal gig.

Vince f***ed off for a few months, HHH took over, LA Knight was immediately stripped of that awful gimmick, got his name back, and got white hot as each week went on.

Yes, I find it very hard to believe that HHH kept arguably the most over act in WWE off TV on an MSG show. I’m sorry. I’m not saying HHH is perfect, but there’s no way he’s like “we’re not booking LA Knight tonight”

Because the product is clearly doing really well. So either he is back in charge and clearly pushing the right buttons. Or he is actually gone and isn't booking and better people are now booking the show.

But it's an extremely stupid thing to get so hung up on. Dirt sheets leak a rumor that he showed up to a show one night and the IWC turns into a frothing shit show combing through every segment trying to figure out which part was an evil change he made...because he is so evil.

Its dumb to go into a show expecting to hate it because Dave or Insider said Vince was sniffing around. And it's even dumber to watch show, find it acceptable, but then retroactively choose to hate the show because maybe Vince changed something.

Being obsessed with Vince is dumb and childish and has turned into this weird "good stuff on show = HHH, bad stuff = Vince".

It's a stupid wrestling show. Some stuff will be good. Some will be awful. Either put up with it or watch another wrestling show.

What I find strange is you calling it weird and childish if people think Vince is back, yet you also call it a stupid wrestling show.

I think its stupid to obsess over whether he writing the show or not and hang your entire opinion on what is happening solely on dirt sheet rumors that he might be lurking in the shadows making changes.

There is actually a normal rational explanation why LA Knight was the dark segment and not on the show and its simply because it went way too long. The Bloodline segment wasn't supposed to go 40 minutes and the entire rest of the show had to rushed. They weren't going to cut Waller/Edge stuff as they clearly want to get Waller over and this was his first main roster watch.

AJ/Kross got zero time for the same reason. Now I personally would have just cut that match and let LA Knight do his face turn on TV, but HHH has a habit of putting his long term plans over new flavors of the week. Which is why Priest won the briefcase and not Knight.

Vince also always goes to shows when they are in the northeast because it's an easy trip for him, it doesn't mean much more then that.

I get that's not as fun as "ZOMG MCHILTER IS BURYING LA KNIGHT!!!! DED FED!" but I also don't expect rational takes from wrestling fans on anything.

They almost never put dark segments on social media, but they put this one there because it was supposed to be on TV, and it did big numbers.

Knight is now face and he is almost definitely taking the US Title off Theory at Summerslam

No one said LA Knight is buried, people are just saying it's stupid how he was left off TV, and it was. Especially a show in a hot city like New York.

How can you say that segment with Hit Row was supposed to be on TV? Did they have a crystal ball that knew the Bloodline segment would go late? To say they had no room for him on the show is actually ridiculous.

It's not the end of the world but it's a questionable decision.

Nobody is obsessing. Nobody is going ZOMG MCHILTER IS BURYING LA KNIGHT!!! DED FED!

You are the one treating this discussion like a child for some reason.

We have years upon years of evidence that if Vince "just doesn't see it pal" then you are done for. No reason to not worry any time he shows up.

Based on past shows, there was a good chance of that happening (let's be reality, Roman's entrances eat up 10 minutes already) but I don't think they expected it to go that long. In hind sight, it was better for La to have been in the pre-show segment since it would've been cut from the main show and it got all that attention despite being off air.

It's a good thing shows are 2 hours, what on earth could they have done with the other hour and a half!

It's absolutely never better for a hot act to be relegated to the pre-show. Ever. No doubt youtube numbers on that segment were high, but you ALWAYS have a guy like that on TV at some capacity.

But I was just told here that tv ratings don't matter anymore?

It's not about ratings, it's about seeing the most over guy in the company on TV.

Ratings talk is the most toxic of all professional wrestling talk. It's at the point where nerds don't even care about what happens in the companies, they just flex a weird rating number like an absolute mongoloid.
