I don't find the Punk-being-at-Raw stuff to be as big of a deal as people think. I get why it is, it's because it's CM Punk. But people from other companies being 'guests' backstage isn't some kind of crazy foreign concept, that's always gone on. Like, they've had Okada backstage and shit.

But yeah, my preference would be to just elevate the Intercontinental title. Walter has claim to being the top champion anyways.

Oh I get it. That's the whole point to the brand $plit. I just hate it. I want just one big brand and about an hour or two less a week (too watered down now).

The only thing I consider "big" is that HHH is alledgedly the person he talked to the longest.

New title isn't complete trash. STILL smacking the huge corporate logo on it is annoying as hell but at least it's not taking up 99% of the belt. It's still not great but it is easily the best thing they've produced since before..... was the spinner monstrosity 2005 or 2006? Bah Gawd. It's been such a long time.

PS- Roman is still garbage. I don't acknowledge mediocrity. See one match you see them all.

It's not bad but it can greatly improved by having the underline under the logo be red. And some blue in the globe.

The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of the current IC belt.

100%. The overall design is decent but it really needs some colour.

I don't understand what the issue is with the logo. The ones Roman currently has, yes, they have an issue. But the new one, no. What are they supposed to do? Maybe they should follow the path of other promotions that have belts and their designs?

The TNT title is one of the worst offenders.

Part of it is because Big Gold might be the best belt ever made, and the giant logo takes a lot away from it.

Part of it is also WWE=Bad group think, tribalism nonsense.

Big logos on belts is the norm now. It is what it is

I thought this was confirmed? Punk wanted to chat with him, HHH told him he had to confirm if he was allowed, HHH asked, was told no and Punk was asked to leave.

I agree this is mostly a nothing burger of a story. He wanted to chat with some folks there for whatever reason.

It does seem weird that he would just show up, but it’s also what I would expect. This would’ve been the first time Punk and Hunter have seen each other in person in 9 years.

He should not apologize to Kenny and The Bucks. He should apologize to Tony Khan for what he did at the press conference.

The EVPs would deserve an apology if they did not react like idiots.
 
Anyone else think the way Hunter announced the new title was weird? Basically saying that Roman's contract has him wrestling less? I felt like that was a shot at him.

Anyway, stupid WWE creative can't even come up with a storyline to introduce that title. Instead, they're just stripping one of the titles off Roman for no reason.

What titles does Roman have now, is it Universal and WWE or Universal and World Heavyweight?

Is this replacing one of Roman's or just a 3rd big title?

Wasn’t a shot, just building heat.

They’re not stripping him of either title, just making a new one.

No, they're not adding a 3rd title, just taking one of two titles away and having Roman exclusively on one brand. The other title will be on the other brand. From WWE.com:

Expressing the need for two top champions, Triple H announced that the new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Roman Reigns will remain the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and bring that title to his respective brand following the WWE Draft.

They’ve been pushing both belts as one championship basically since he won the second one. This is new belt will be the top champion on the brand.

Yes, but he's been champion of both brands. They're basically stripping him of one brand/title. The least they could have done is come up with a storyline as to why.

Because no one can beat him and he hasn’t done anything to be stripped. And he won’t vacate it.

I just know which belt is the #1 belt.
