I honestly don't even think this is an issue if you don't clear it with him beforehand. It's a heel character mocking an injury. Nothing there is deeply personal but it sets up to make money later.

The problem with Page is, it closely coincided with somebody in that group leaking out the Colt Cabana story (Whether it's true or not) and then he ambushed Punk with personal drama on live TV.

And to be clear, I'm not taking a Pro-Punk or Pro-Elite-and-Friends stance here, (I don't particularly think there's any victims there) I'm just pointing out that there's a clear difference in Drew mocking an injury as a heel and a babyface Page calling a babyface Punk a locker room cancer while his friends are allegedly leaking stories to Meltzer. Page tried to make Punk look bad in real life. Drew mocking his injury doesn't hurt him at all.
