f*** it. Rock pins Roman. Pisses in the ring and leaves with the title. Punk, who has already won the rumble, changes his mind and now wants a title shot rematch with The Rock. They half ass the build with nothing but "live via sattelite" promos. Punk wins in 8 minutes with a People's Elbow

If it keeps Cody from a reign of corny doom I'll be all for it.

Oh, I know. I just don't really want to think about it.
I admit, when I first heard the rocks music last night I did have a little hope that the Cody coronation would be on hold until Summerslam. Then I saw all this news about the chamber ppv, and there's too much smoke here for there to be no fire. And WWE just cant help themselves with the 50/50 Mania booking. This gives serious Cena v Rock at b2b Mania vibes. I was stunned when Rock won the first one, just like I was (to a lesser extent) when Roman beat Cody

Hi does anyone use sportsnet app for wwe? I’m trying to figure out how to watch raw and smackdown from the rock era. As I’ve tried doing various searches and just picking the raw show it doesn’t go back far enough. I was wondering if anyone knows how to.

If Cody's corny reign ends in him eating a pin from Gunther or LA Knight, I can live with it.

Either I can live with.

-------

We kind of know that Sasha Banks is likely back (probably at RR), and now Noami (and also Charlotte Flair's husband) is likely heading back to the WWE once her TNA Contract expires. My question is with Noami: Just like Nia Jax, why?

Is Jimmy Uso pushing the WWE to bring her back?

Highly doubt the WWE wants their own audience in a situation where they have to choose between cheering for Cody and cheering for LA Knight. They'd likely pick Knight, and Cody, so far, has perfectly walked the thin line of white meat babyface to prevent being booed. (Even if you don't like Cody, you can't deny it's amazing that he manages to keep the audience behind him considering he's relatively bland and force fed to the audience)

The last thing they want to do is give him a good shove off that thin line, which is what they'd be doing by making him an obstacle for LA Knight.

Also, Naomi and Nia aren't really the same situation. Naomi's work is passable and she doesn't have a lengthy history of hurting people. If Nia could say the same, most people probably wouldn't care that she was brought back.

Naomi is athletic and isn't gonna kill anybody. I think the whole glow gimmick was great in WWE as well. Not sure it has sustainable drawing power on the top of the card, but for a mid card mainstay /occasional title scene push, it's perfect.

A+

At best, this cools LA Knight considerably while Cody barely holds his star power. At worst, both guys lose a ton of support. Cody stays over because of the nature of the WWE live crowds. It's a bit more of a family vibe at a WWE show, and much more forgiving towards the babyfaces. It definitely helps that Cody looks like a well dressed Ken doll and is a very confident presence/speaker. I still can't stand the current character, but I recognize that the WWE isn't pandering to 40 year old men.

So a lot of people were expecting a title change because someone took a picture in the arena with what looked like purple confetti falling.

Turns out it wasn't confetti, it was just panels on the ceiling used to bounce the wifi around and the angle caused a trick on the eyes.

Knight is most likely US champ by the end of Mania

Yup. Supposedly Bubba Ray was going around claiming he heard the original plan before Punk returned was Knight vs. Rollins. Calling bullshit. They planted seeds for Knight vs. Paul way back at MITB, and I think they were initially stretching Drew vs. Seth to Mania. (Would explain Drew storming out at SS)

Stuff like this the real reason Cody is in the spot he is

Ehh, that kinda undercuts Cody. Whether anybody likes his character or not he can still work a mic and is very good in ring. This is practically Titus O'Neill's entire job at WWE, but after the Prime Time Players had their initial run, he was relatively unused.
