Other than War Games last year, Survivor Series hasn't felt like anything special in many many years.
Does anyone remember that they temporarily canceled Survivor Series but then changed their mind? Maybe like 15 years ago.
True, especially in the eyes of the fans. Years, decades even of lackluster build-up.
But it wasn't treated like some random PPV by WWE either. They've tried to make it seem special but haven't really been successful doing so. Even in 2011 when they brought in The Rock to team with Cena it didn't generate the interest/PPV buys they thought it would.
It was always the "little brother" of the big 4. I don't think they could run a large stadium for S-Series they way they do now for RR and Summer Slam.
