I like when all the new posters show up during Wrestlemania season and then disappear after.

To quote the bowels of the internet; "normies get out REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Man i'm going back to my poorly written fanfiction readings. Least there the good guys go over, brother.

Real talk, they almost always have the "devil's advocate" opinion because they don't haven't had to sit through this crap for as many years as we have.

It's like when Leaf fans appear at the beginning of every year to call us maniacs who watch every game that we're whining too much.

Guys, on January 23th 2016.... Triple GOAT holds the title.

I don't know if I should celebrate or cry... well, I'm crying and understandably upset.

Yet still not super pissed yet.

The look argument is just false. DB is the most over wrestler in IDK how long.

Or just look at tonight. Biggest pops went to AJ Stlyes, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose. None of them have "the look". They don't look "cool", yet everyone popped for them.

Crowd was chanting for a ****ing trombone tonight. New Day are not "cool" yet their merch is flying off shelves and they are over everywhere.

Brock is the only guy "with the look" who got pops.

Nick Bockwinkle was a damn good worker and could talk. Dont remember too many kids who wanted to be him.

Superstar look trumps workrate

In that era, sure. Not today.

McGregor has also been smashing top fighters in a legit sport. He could ooze a sea of personality, but he would be another loser with a big mouth if he didn't have a KO streak, and he will not be a huge draw after it ends. Winning is a draw in MMA, it's a different animal (but not so different, so an average looking popular guy like Ambrose or Owens could do wonders if he ever won the title).

Wow, winning makes someone a draw? No wonder WWE doesn't have Ambrose, Owens and Wyatt consistently win programs... they'd be bigger draws (if they aren't already) than Reigns!

They made Cena a draw by consistently having him win, too, but it was because his personality and charisma first that he got that chance. One's a legit sport, the other is sports entertainment, but you're still selling a fight. Winning in anything will make you a draw, but your personality and charisma keeps you afloat. Chael Sonnen talked his way into so many fights and got people interested solely on his charisma and personality.

The point is charisma and personality draw way more than a look.

The thing about wrestling is that there is no predicting how somebody will get over. Good example was when I started watching again in 2002. I got one look at Brock and I instantly became a mark. His look was just perfect and I didn't mind that he wasn't a great talker.

Then again there are guys like Test and Roman who look like a million bucks but I just get bored to tears by them. Wrestling is weird.

Brock is also a one-in-a-million athlete. Seriously, find me another 6'3", near 300-pound man that moves around like a cruiserweight. It's unreal.

When has Bryan be more over than Rock?

Who in the world mentioned The Rock? lmao, talk about a reach.

They don't get we literally wait every Tuesday for the ratings and watch them go down every week. Maybe we have the problem.

My god you're really reaching...it's sad.
Reaching how? By stating the obvious?
Bryan had a hot spot. Rock has bed on top for over a decade. If you want to put Bryan on a certain level dont expect somebody to counter wuth reality. "Reaching" is trying to make somebody something they are not. Bryan has hot for about a year. Rock pushes ratings if advertised to this day.

How is that reaching?

Hey that's your own fault for watching! I learned a few years ago to stop watching the WWE on a regular basis. Heck it looks like this year I have no interest in the RTWM Raws, I'll tune in for the ppv and that's about it.

If he advised against it, it wouldn't of happened. HHH's position is different from every other wrestler on the roster. If he thought it was a bad idea, he could of got it changed (odds are Roman would of just won).

As HBK once said, Hunter isn't allowed to say no
But I wouldn't put it past H to have been all for this idea

Speaking of HBK, there's another small guy no kids wanted to be like when they grew up :sarcasm:
Same with Bret Hart for that matter
DB...Punk...

Yeah
None of these guys are any good since they're not 6'4 250 pound guys

Except no one was comparing Bryan to the Rock.

iirc he stated D-Bry was the "most over guy in the company at the time." The same time when the Rock wasn't around, so that would make him correct.

Reaching is putting words in his mouth claiming he made the comparison.

Where did the Rock even come from? You are claiming "the look" gets people over.

Danial Bryan one of many examples that prove this isn't true. He isn't just a hot spot. Come on now with this. He hasn't wrestled in a year and is still more over then anyone on the current roster and its not even close.

It's reaching because Rock being a bigger star than Bryan doesn't mean that a look is what draws. By that logic Austin shouldn't be as big of a star as Rock or Hogan because by wrestling standards Austin is an average joe in terms of look.

The Rock had the looks the moves and the charisma. Reigns has looks and nothing else. I'm so confused as to why we're taking about the Rock.

Or Foley. We can go all night with guys who were crazy over that didn't have the look.

That was the point. It was never a Rock vs DB debate.

This.

He does well because he was also fighting Aldo, who was one of the last of the old guard standing. He has the title but now people will basically watch now to see if he loses a la Silva.

When he does, people will lose interest again. Its already happening with Rousey.

So why is DB still the most over guy when he just shows up? Dude doesn't look cool at all. Punk never had the look either.

Punk also went umpteen pay per views in a row, as the champion, without main eventing until like the 10th one, before he dropped to Dwayne.

When Cena was there?

Are you telling me Bryan was more over then Cena?
